Absolute plethora of 1 unit share trades going through today along with numerous 2,3 & 4 ones too, much more than normal... do we have Robinhood traders taking an interest ... hummm

Particularly as the longer any delay it will extend their ROI period ... time is money, so the quicker the gas begins to flow the more advantageous given inflated gas prices ..... of course this will need to be balanced against making the most of 10yr tax holiday together with maximising production.

Of course the ultra conservative approach to proposed dividend of 9p/s and no hint of a José Mourinho, 'special one' either could possibly point towards the cash being earmarked... lets hope a deal is within reach as that for sure will heighten our profile and pull in new investors alongside, one would hope underpinning our SP.

Agree, however the market will look at our ever growing cash hoard and make 1 + 1 = -3.

Mr Market wants to see cash deployed in an accretive manner, otherwise, rightly so, thinks the mgt are not up to the job and would rather take the slippers and pipe approach. You say "Do we actually need another deal??", in reality no, but practical use of our cash is a must, but please no share buyback. The more cash we acquire the cheaper we become as a target.

lol, just as well I didn't used a Tommy Cooper's quote to reference our results .....

"..a lorry-load of tortoises crashed into a train-load of terrapins, I thought "That's a turtle disaster".

But with further reading of results, it appears the tortoise has come out virtually unscathed and is still well in the race for 600p/s ... just panic sellers and shorter's wanting to make a fast buck today.

Should of added, of course the 2022 interim's due September too ..... with 100% BKR and current commod prices they will leave 2021 interim's in their wake .... and hopefully wake up our SP too and move more us towards Jefferies 600p/s target.

Why oh why can they not get a deal away ..... I for one would love to see them partner CHAR. Our cash could fast-track their development and I'm sure a deal is there for the making. I also hold a substantial holding in CHAR too btw.

Either way, I don't think today's results will do much to advance our SP .... more a case of consolidation period ahead of us, circa ~400p up until N Eigg drill, unless ACW suddenly becomes Paul Daniels, MF his trusted side-kick Debbie McGee and a massive rabbit is pulled from a very tiny hat .... In the meantime, our results, as Paul Daniels would of summed them up "You'll like this, not a lot, but you'll like it..."

Fair assessment ..... fwiw, it just adds to the pressure for a positive N Eigg drill.

Still worth 400p/s all day long afaic, as you say particularly as "cash accruals continue apace.." and I would also say 'strong hold'.
Lets see what targets Jefferies et al come back with as Jefferies only the other week (7/4/22) raises Serica Energy price target to 600 (360) pence - 'buy' . They for sure know the business better than most on here I would say.

Agree, particularity as external CPR has increased our reserves, even after 12 months of production.

• Upgrades more than replaced 2021 production
• Updated 2P reserves at 1 January 2022 are 62.2 mmboe

Reserves alone, imo cover our MCap.

That said, let us not lose sight of how profitable SQZ is ... after all, that's the name of the game.

2021 Operating profit of £246.1 million/ Profit before tax of £135.1m / Profit after tax of £79.3m.

2022 results will blow these 2021 figure out of the water, so plenty to play for !
