Offer of ~£10bn (117p/s) would probably succeed in today's climate, that's circa 50% premium on VWMA 100 Day average or +65% to closing SP. The lower she goes better the figures look on an approach .... which if RR does not recover, fast, will become fact not fiction imo.

Just added more, uncomfortable average but should an approach occur, happy days, otherwise give it time and she will fully recover and more so long as jolly foreigner keeps their hands off.

One would hope SQZ will announce their cash position as of 31/8/22 within interim's. Depending upon invoices paid, I would expect cash to be ~£550m-£565m, up from £396m announced for end of May, anything more, well, need I say !

One route I suppose, given critical state of gov finances and UK economy, anything is possible I guess. Creating an artificial closed market though, drastic to say the least. One would hope gov would compensate producers though otherwise natural decline of UK O&G will be far from 'natural'.

Could see it working in terms of gov paying difference from, say 200p/therm to NBP spot direct to producers, perhaps less a small fixed discount.

Could this be why we have had no details from Truss / Sunak as they are waiting on EU proposal so we can all sing from same hymn sheet maybe !
Be easy enough for gov to print more money, with new levy they will be getting a fair proportion of it back in taxes too.

Was thinking last night about that tweet ..... Are we about to announce a partnership with Mocean and as part of our investment / partnership we get a place on their board. I would guess investment would be able to be off-set against levy as I would have thought reason behind this was in order to achieve electrification of our platform.
