See the regulator has put even more blocks up for grabs in the recent North Sea licensing round which opened last week, guess interest must be high.
What they really need to do is expedite red-tape process if UK Gov really want to secure UK energy requirements going forward asap, "It is expected that the first licences will be awarded from the second quarter of 2023".

So many shares gaped up this morning .... DT was not alone.

DT really need to plug that leak, SF et al clearly closed out millions of shorts yesterday with info from their man/woman on the inside .... !!! Not good enough for a FTSE company to allow RNS to leak like this .... must be someone with access to / involvement with RNS as usually RNS are posted and set for release the afternoon prior..... now remind me when did all the SP action take place with a barrage of AT's and massive trades... yep a few hours before close. On the plus side, appears as if decent sized longs were taken yesterday too.

Just to add at 14:47 we had a noticeable uplift in SP with no observable large trade reported at that particular point in time & at that price point, hence why I believe it was a massive BUY.

Ploy to hide trades of this type is to report them late, all within the rules I'm afraid just to make PI's lives more difficult, as if they weren't already ..!!

"5M sold in one sell after hours.....", NO NO NO, its' a delayed reported trade, ie occurred earlier in the day, hence executed price point of 285.10p, given momentum of SP, odd's on it was a massive buy imo. Either way, great recovery from ~275p today.

Yep, £5m late reported trade which I guess added to +ve impetus today.

Just hope UK Gov know they NEED to 'U' turn on some / all or the markets will trash everything and BOE will need to come back to the bond market, pound with fall off a cliff .... Oh and Liz will be ousted along with Kwasi unless he gets thrown under the bus first, which is more than likely.

Knowing someone who works in No10 and subsequent 'chit chat', Liz will do what Liz does best .... !!!

Absolute barrage of AT trades went through in last few hours .... even some large sells, yet the SP kept heading north at apace.

Little while ago 4 x 200k (£576k) buys went through ....

Today's trading action is, as it has been for sometime so transparent for those who care to see this aggressive manipulation time and time again.

AT trades run the show, with multiple AT small value trades with exactly same timestamp occurring in blocks time after time that are split by significantly large trades.

For example, today, watching for an hour or so .... AT trades with same timestamp in block of 20 then block of 24 then followed by 2 x £532k trades .... little while later, block of 19 then 36 followed be 2 x £720k trades ... and so it continues, when people say manipulation does not happen .... I very much beg to differ.

Nobody goes to this trouble, with so much firepower without an end game.... :-)

With YoY growth set to continue operational adjustment can be made to streamline and boost bottom line, something Americans are adept at.
For sure a bid will occur, just a matter of when and for how much. With economist seeing Q2 2023 as market recovery well underway any deal would need to begin negotiations, well, yesterday, 4 - 6 months to complete negotiations imo so watch for SP movement that would signal real interest in DT. Not to dissimilar to the leak that occurred with TB that seen a sudden uptick in SP for several days prior to RNS, although that hole my have been plugged now ! Poppy at recent event as good as said, 'we are for sale, lets talk'..... Was that because there was current interest but she wanted others to join the party, who knows ! What that comment did do was put DT front 'n' center in the Cyber Shop Window just a matter of doing the deal.

This whole sorry story all kicked-off when someone went to a party !!! No party there would be no market madness. Maybe something for Liz to consider to shift the blame ... !$%?!

With around £2 of our SP currently made up of cash and equivalents, that leaves valuing our business at ~137p (£370m) ... that's ~£5boe, ridiculous valuation buts that's the state of current market and may well see more value destruction before we recover.

One of the few stock to be doing well today, Rentokil ..... They probably see massive sales ahead to deal with recent outbreak of vermin, not just confined to City either.

Of course it impacts SP, maybe not measurable, but it does .... by very virtue of PI's trading, 'sucked' in or otherwise plus exit trades would obviously occur at some point too, plays into hands of hedge funds et al. Afaic there are a handful of 'players' on this BB employed by third parties with their only task, that's work PI sentiment and influence decisions for their own game. You know who you are !!

Unbelievable how one mans statement has caused such a excrement storm in the UK markets .... god knows what Friday will being. Truss not helping either when she tells MPs she won't cut public spending ... where ffs are saving going to come from when announcement is made end of the month.

As for SQZ ..... Our cash hoard imo is the only thing keeping the SP above £2 .... If not spent wisely or the markets thinks return will be too far over the horizon ... well, you can guess the rest ...

How many 'plants' do we have that frequent this BB for associated third parties which have an ACTIVE interest in DT's SP ?

All about baseline ..... and of course acquisitions.

Not sure about 'cheap', but 480-510p/s (cash) would be fairly good imo atm .... circa £1.35bn

Success at N Eigg as none producing field moving from prospective to contingent would only add ~£60m to our valuation in the immediate future imo. Value is in swiftly proving these up to become reserves and subsequent production which requires both investment and time to develop. On would hope that regulatory requirement via FDP etc would be passed expeditiously and without the need for partner financing, FID would not be an issue either. NE will however add significant appeal to anyone wanting to acquire us, so may well be deciding factor as to our future path and value.
