worth noting what im seeing on news feeds, many parcels are stuck at main sorting office, ive got customers complaining about orders that are late, ive sent items both 2nd class and 48 hour tracked, ive not had single person complain on 2nd class, all my late deliveries are on 48 hour tracked now, this is also what im seeing complain about online, 48 hour tracked stuff at main sorting office.

@jimmy - i agree, thats why we leave the intelligent to run the country and postmen to deliver letters.

@Pauly - hear hear, it needs to be done asap, Dave wont beat the public, cometh the new year once all those parcels\letters are delivered late and they've ruined tiny tims xmas, Dodgy Dave will be labled Mr Scrooge... still time to be father xmas?

@Derek - you didnt i was more referring to the current sentiment here and possibilty of what might happen. @Saga - i dont see POLY R coming back to LSE if there is a split, i see a new market place being found for POLY -R which will not tradeable until that time, imo its the only fair way and negates all sanctions that are current.

Question is how do they go about pricing it and will that be taken from the POLY-K share price if split?

GOLD is pulling back to test the $1803 level today, $1871 area next major level of interest, going to go long on a GOLD spreadbet.

For those lucky enough to remember the hardships of the 1970s GOLD went from $35 an ounce in 1970 upto January 1980 when it hit $861 an ounce, thats over a 20 bag multiplier in the last time we had hyper inflation like today, read between the lines boys and girls ;-)

@Derek - i dont disagree with you about the wastefulness, fiddling and cronyism in our current goverment, but as Angerz has said no point in trying to bring the whole system down to prove a point, you wont actually be any better off because inflation will just stay higher for longer... your food shopping basket will be same just cost more...so we will ALL be paying more for longer....

Bres i dont think you have read any of my posts properly, just gone off on your own militant agenda, im against all that you say, as i would expect many here are also and that includes us share holders! What we are against is this special treatment that unions mislead their members to think they deserve, normal payrise and one off payments are the way to deal with temporary shortfalls, and again next year if needed until normality resumes.

I dont for a minute believe this is all down to energy prices, a good percentage of it is profiteering, it will be interesting to see supermarket and big brands profit margins, the likes of Coca Cola have already been found out.

The last time we had to endure this hyper inflation was in the 70s and early 80s, this is just a repeat of history with nothing learned it appears. Keep striking boys and girls..

@PPorsche - yes thats another option is to cut the red tape, this would help to increase work output as would investing in upgrading some of the automation software and hardware.

@angerz - not really any place for unions now unless goverment owned, certainly not in a PLC.

@JB - the problem is with the unions trying to force pay rises across the entire work force in all sectors, all that will do is drag out inflation, more people with money in their pockets will keep the shops profiteering and they wont put thier prices down, do they realise that?

Pay rises are not the answer, we all need one year of pain to get inflation down, in the mean time a one off payment is best way forward. I dont think anyone here begrudges anyone a payrise, but when its athe detriment to the rest of the country obviously its going to be seen as being selfish...

CPi data just came in at below expectation, FED may pivot in next couple of months, money should come rushing in to the markets before the confirmation, im thinking around spring time, will JP go with .50 or .75% tomorrow? Bull run for xmas ))

you also missed out on the bull run that GOLD is about to go on, when we break 1805 level, and retest that level then we should have the wind behind us!

@time2 - i found the thread on the royalmail chat forum, they were all commenting on these dates and the 3 months, now if what you say is right after 3 months they can fire, they can also do Compulsary Redundancy if they chose? In law compulsary and being fired comes under the same rules where as voluntary you pretty much sign all your rights away?

@Oligarch - they seem to be under the impression that the CR will not apply at the end of these periods, as they did not lodge a formal complaint with ACAS and only used them as advisory the 3 months is not applicable, seems to be some debate on this but i would expect them to have at least got the right? Other wise they are playing with peoples jobs and misinforming their members...

as Red pointed out some meaty buys coming in, 2x 5000 orders that were put to market quotes and appear to be buy orders, look at the tiny sells against the large buy orders, read between the lines...

Sitting on my hands and waiting to see what happens into new year, be interesting to see short interest tomorrow, as of today nothing much that warrants a 9p drop!

@Angers - i think the US have bet on .50% basis point rise, if it comes in as .75 i can see SP500 drifting, BOE i think here will go with .75 again, for me though what i see as good news is prices dropping on staple foods in the supermarket, how much of this inflationary rise is down to true inflation or profiteering is the question, and i would say a large % of it is profiteering based on what im seeing with pricing yoyo's. Im seeing a Bull market next year what do you think?

@Oligarch\Angerz - i posted this a few days ago and as you can see the SP is in the 220s, the level we are at is quite important as it has several levels of support, it will also decided on whether we have seen bottom yet and the trend has changed, the number 3 area is a major area of interest, we either bounce hard from here or drift back to 179 and test the bottom, lets hope for a nice long downwards wick off the daily candle today.
