RE: No news13 Mar 2023 14:26
calmness and a revisit to why you invested is whats required in current market conditions, ignore the noise, go back through history and we can see March is the favourite month to rinse the pi's, many reasons and if they want it to happen someone will go and find something, this is actually an amazing buying opportunity, look at all those gap downs to target... take your pick....
When others are selling in fear, get greedy and fill your boots..... market is now again in buy territory but may not have bottomed, keep a watch for 7500 area on the FTSE 100. I would like to see a much smaller daily candle before some kind reverse looks to be in sight.
Going back on my previous comments its also worth considering risk, each persons risk varies for many reason, even coming down to which broker you use, what type of financial instrument your using, share, CFD or spread, Stop losses very rarely execute and if they do its normally way past your stop loss price, its almost guaranteed you will get stitched up with stop loss order especially if you have many on the same stock, stop losses are by no means a safety net all they do is hand over your decision to the broker who will gladly take your money.
Stop loss order with retail brokers never appear on level 2, SL orders are taken from the company stock of their own shares, for instance interactive investor who i trade with and these are one of the better ones, if you place a stop loss order its not executes by the algo (computer) its one of their staff sitting there processing it and taking it from ii pool of shares, not the open market. We as pi's are peeing in the wind to try and beat all the hurdles they chuck at us, the only way to beat them is to HOLD, they can do eff all about it only try and scare the shizzle out of you.
Dont work with me, been there seen it to many times, back in 2010 i remember when the FTSE lost 1000 points in a few minutes, total carnage and happened twice from my memory, stop losses would have wiped you out as they got the next price available, us pi's are always at the back of the queue, they will make an excuse but its all orchestrated and these city boys get away with it once twice till they have been sussed out they then have to find another way to do it.
Always an excuse, and nearly always recovers...... only advice i can give anyone is stay away from AIM stock, rest is buy and hold and have faith.
