afternoon team RMG, any signs of this pay dispute getting resolved or are we in for long slow death by a thousand cuts?

Thank you Robina, this is one of those shares i just bought and forgot about, get my divi's and dont really bother to keep up with the latest news, my average here is in the 150's but not to bothered.

long term VOD holder, can anyone quickly bullet point me why VOD is so bullish in against the recent drops? Have i missed something?

@Chilting - yes i think the market has priced in for .75bp move so if we get .50bp i think it should help, long term i think its going to be slow and painful drop, having said that there are many shares that are no so defensive and have already suffered massive drops OCDO being one, i expect these shares to take less of hit than the other bigger defensive ones that as of yet have hardly moved down.

Im fully invested atm and not really comfortable with it if im honest, they are divi stocks so all it not lost but i will be looking on the next rise to pull some cash out.

@Value yes after last weeks drops my outlook picture has changed and you are right to sit on the side lines.

@Plato - agree with you completely but we have to put our money somewhere it does nothing in the bank. What we are seeing play out is the Goverments failure to let the housing market collapse, the whole economy is proped up on the housing market which has been in a bubble now for almost 20 years, until they allow house prices to drop and stop these ponsy schemes such as the latest 'housing benefit tenants buying thier properies' inflation will keep rising, the only way the wider market has to correct this is with inflation.

about 5 minutes ago 3x 107k appeared for offer to buy (sells)
now 3x 155k sells appeared replacing them those which have gone.
These have then been replaced with 2x 154k sells.

Orders dont appear to have gone through on the tape (right hand side) Either someone is using these to try force the price down or the mm is doing the same to hover up limit order buys (bids).

Will be interesting to see if we get any 'unknown' orders when the market closes later. unusually big trades for POLY, as i say not showing on the tape but if i go to my advanced chart at 15.46 there was a spike in volume (green).

@Horult i dont recall anything to bad in that thread, although i didnt read the last few posts, nothing more than the usual from the usual suspects.

I think if anyone gets offended by opinions then i might suggest that bb's are probably not the best place to hang out.

@Panda it doesnt matter what me and you think, we cant tell people how to live thier lives, i agree we need the young breed to come through and they seem to be the only ones standing up to Putins regime.

@Panda as many know here one of my best friends is Russian, hes from Khabarovsk (funny because we havea POLYmetal plant there) He is back in his homeland right now but will go back to Moscow soon.

The problem you are up against is the older generation 40+ are used to living at lower standards of living to what they have in recent years come acustom to, when i asked my friend what he is going to do he just said we (Russians) will just go back to being self suffiecent again, the older generation appear to quite like the soviet times and would rather save face than money or life style. Putin knows this as patriotic loyality is spoon fed from a very early age, which is why we dont see any big uproar in Russia with massive war death tolls or higher costs of living.

For what its worth ive had to many arguments with my friend now and have stopped speaking with him at least until till the war is over, its been more than 2 months now but at least he can see how we\i do not support this war.

When i do resume contact with him i might get him to go visit the POLY plant in Khabarovsk.

Back to poly, watching the orders going through some big sells going through, a 10k, 11k and 14k, but not touching the share price in a negative way, can only mean they already have a 'buyer' i would say.

@Value i agree with you but as i said on another board right now the market has chnaged and gone into limp mode, different froma few weeks back, my trading style has had to chnage to adapt, im thinking a slow chuck upwards till august time and the city are back from holidays, then the real fun and games start...

@Boyo yes i use that short tracking site to and noticed they dont show small short orders, i think this is now a drift down play for a bit, i dont see any immediate major drops like before, i think short sellers have exhausted this share and probably better candidates out there to make a quick turn.

@Chilting - thanks for your explanation, i guess these big investemnt house's have different clients also and hedging as you say can keep you interested in the opposite direction. I think this will slowly drop into mid 850s, where i might start to get interested unless i see a shorter trend change soon.

@Value there is plenty of negative news about but also quite a bit of positive if you scrape back the layers

@pipsjunky have you just bought in pips? nothing more than normal and a few chancers at sub £2, closest big order is 11k shares at 222p nothing that big?
