The big global independent Harbour Energy has hatched a development plan for the Kan shallow-water oilfield in Mexico, where it is also pushing for a breakthrough on the large Zama project.

The company recently issued an expression of interest for energy services companies who wish to compete for the Kan front-end engineering and design contracts.

There are three FEED packages covering a floating production, storage and offloading vessel, subsea umbilicals risers and flowlines, and an offshore wellhead platform, according to the EoI document seen by Upstream.

Well interestingly BASF held a Capitol Markets day today. The on;y mention we got on their slide show is below and I have no idea what that menas ??

Just thought it would prove what is happening….

I look at it and think “What would I do” if I was BASF and if I couldn’t wait until 2027 I would sell the lot now.

However as the CEO said he expected significant profits from Harbour or words to that effect I would just keep taking the dividend.

I guess it all depending on what Wintershall was really worth and how much the notional £3.60 was given for performance to others or nailed on what they thought their company was worth.

Either way very jerky and dark as we have learned to love from Harbour.

The other point I guess is the But backs are t supporting the SP at all..??

If BASF are keen on exciting I can’t understand at all why they would sell drip drip at this ridiculous price?.

They are basically selling at a 40% loss which makes no sense at all…not that Harbour ever does.

On the bright side our estimate of 1$ Billion Free cash flow was based on 65$ dollars a barrel so looking good for north of that at year end……

Don’t expect much for November but be good to hear decent volumes and cash flow with Norway leading the way.

Argentina and Mexico are 2027-8 so don’t expect much there.

Keep taking the tablets and collecting the dividends……

Firstly why would BASF be selling any at all at this price. If your prepared to see some at this price why not sell the lot?

Also I really don't like this cloak and dagger stuff. You sell, I buy. Is this a very long winded way of BASF exit. Doesn't stack up to me.

I suppose pretty much when you own half of the company you dictate the strategy. I you think about it BASF are pretty much in discussions with themselves (or 48% of themselves) so can dictate any strategy they want.

Whatver is or isnt going on Im sure it was agreed a long time ago.
