I'm bemused too, the Government reluctance to test, instead allow COVID to rip through society again and again and again, which in turn shall lead to many Millions having to suffer with long COVID, which shall put immense pressure upon the Economy and the Health Service. Herd immunity is fantasy.

I have to pass an occupational medical every year, a colleague has had his medical suspended by the regulatory authority due to long COVID, unless he fully recovers, his medical shall not be returned and he will be unable to work.

Living with COVID does not mean return to normal and pretend that COVID does not exist, it is real and the impact of long COVID is scary, the more the times a person is infected with COVID the higher the risk, eventually it shall get us all.

To my mind, the issue is that the experts report that testing is required and shall be required going forward, however the Government are choosing to ignore the warnings. Long COVID is dangerous condition which is affecting more and more people, yet the Government is happy to let COVID rip through society. Consider the difference to the Chinese approach, only time shall tell which nation got it right. In my opinion, there shall come a point, where Western Governments perform a U-turn, the reintroduction of routine testing, although perhaps not on the scale seen previously.

Before May there had been 2000 recorded cases of Monkeypox in 30 years!!

Also, a 10% hospitalisation rate for Monkeypox, very dangerous disease for both Children and Pregnant women. There's already talk of this becoming Endemic.

Let's not forget that the Pandemic is still raging, it ain't going away and there's still a requirement for testing, whether the Government likes it or not. On top of this we have Monkeypox, which some experts are already suggesting should now be declared a Pandemic.

I'm pretty certain that we supply Taiwan, they'll not be buying from the Chinese. I'd agree that the Company has suggested that testing COVID testing shall dry up, however I find that hard to believe and not every nation shall simply bury their heads in the sand.
