I think these sells could be warrant related as even at 18p they would be show a 44% profit having converted at 12.5p. Earlier sells at higher prices (if related) would show even more. Of course it still begs the question why sell out now?

In addition, if warrant related, are the shares being forward sold and we will get another RNS soon, or are they previously converted shares that hadnr been sold

Its all a rather confusing/concerning mess.....what I would give for some clarity and a pleasant explanation

Well theoretically that trade is already 'in the market' but just seeing it is going to make people more nervy

I think its linked to overall daily volume in the market. Someone posted a possible explanation a while back but you might have to dig around for it :)

Only just noticed the 100k sell at close yesterday. Im finding myself now actually hoping this is all warrant related rather than any other nefarious reason

Yesterday 08.10 was a new highest volume & vwap consideration for the buyback to date. At least they are utilising the cra ppy share price to our advantage

I personally dont give a damn about yield when its cancelled out by capital losses. If you had bought recently at say 225p (no I didnt) the benefit of the yield would already have been lost

For once I agree with you. I think the buyback allows some holders, perhaps US based to discreetly reduce, yet maintain their % holding in exactly the same way as BASF

My concern is that we are dropping on what shoule be a moderately positive day.....if the market turns nasty will we follow it down further

Avoiding any arguments on the subject, my gripe with buybacks in HBR is that creates an artificially downbeat market as sellers know they can slip out, as you put it, and not tank the price
