Whilst the condition for Brent has probably been acheived in the last six months, I cant see for the life of me how the UK Gas trigger of 57p/thm would be hit

Unless Im looking at the wrong chart, I can only see that price having been hit twice briefly in the last three years. Its only going back to 2020 and earlier, that it was relevant.

All very clever....make it practically impossible for both conditions to be hit for six month periods

I would have been very happy if we held Friday's closing levels until the 23rd, but it seems in the absence of any further news before then, SAR may resume its drift. Needless to say MMs seen keen to encourage this. All too vague and encourages speculation which may be wide of the mark

If things are likely to get dire for ENQ, wouldnt any purchaser interested in their assets simply wait until real financial problems set in and then make a fire sale type offer? (I wouldnt wish that on any holder btw)

If you were to strip out all the high finance costs and corporate baggage, is there anything of value there or is there inherent cost of production just too high in the current oil/gas climate?

Pointless moaning about an iffy week so I wont. Discount of share price to vwap paid widened slightly to circa 17.5p. Average daily spend rose by £13.5k on the week. Friday saw highest daily totals to date. Projected buyback duration continues to shorten

Based on $100m = £74m, buyback is projected to last 112 trading days / 67 days remaining

Yesterday evening I thought (hoped) it might be a buy, but having read your possible explanation potnak I think you may be right

Something gave the MMs confidence to fill all that early buying, so unless it was that 300k from the day before, they probably knew they had 900k shares 'in the kitty'. By 08:45 there was an apparent surplus of buys of circa 800k plus another 160k of unknowns, so it kind of fits

Its could be a very late trade.....Either it went through this morning at 16p in which case its a buy without doubt, or its a panic large sell from the day before.

I personally think its a buy from this morning, but christ, who knows

Im only going by the fact they have been occurring on and off for 2+ years now. It seems totally arbritary to consider them as buys or sells, as websites just dump them in a column depending on the executed price. IMHO would be better to label the as unknowns

I can only restate that on at least 2 occassion it coincided with Senor Slim upping his stake. All in all though I just think its big players moving money around between themselves or between funds

Yep - you were right....albeit wasnt a massive drop going into the last hour, and would have been negligible if someone hadnt dumped 130k with 2 mins to go

You simply cannot class them as sales....its more likely to be transfers between insti funds or between othe large holders. In the past its occurred when Carlos Slim upped his stake for example

The fall today is more likely down to Brent dropping sharply down to $63...plus HBR hates Fridays lol

There is clearly still an appetite for the Sareum story as evidenced by the strong buying today, but we need it spelled out in without the usual vagueries.

Any deals are obviously further away now, so we need to know what plans B and C are. We must to be allowed to make a properly informed decision as to whether to stay invested

Well we wont know the true picture until all late trades show up at end of day, but plenty of people are buying on the back of this being a delay not a failure

....and in the blink of an eye, most of yesterdays gains are gone

This is why i dont favour buybacks. All the talk about theoretical improved yield wont protect you from a capital loss caused by lower commodities or world developments

Well whoever was doing the insider selling werent exactly subtle about it. Maybe for once AIM regulators will do something about it.....though I wont hold my breath
