LOAM and RG (who has pretty much sold out the majority of his investment) drop clangers all the time. Wandisco (now Cirata) was a disaster for them, although I note that Rg has recently increased his stake. IQE hasn't done well for them either.

There probably hasn't been enough liquidity in the market for LOAM to grab a high enough stake to make it worth their while?

How do you factor LOAM's logic in increasing their holding back in March, when the share price was in the twenties?

I would say they're simply speculating on the STMicro contract being inked.

I agree that China has little respect for IP, however they do sell into Western markets, especially USA. At least three Chinese OEM's in the top ten US TV's sellers,- Hisense, TCL and Vizio- two of those in the top five. Growing market share in Europe too.

Then there's a question mark over the Korean LG with their QNED range, although I don't think it's much of a seller.

Very likely, but not yet- think how long it took for CRT's to be phased out.

I think LCD will remain the primary choice for the next ten to fifteen years at least. For the majority of consumers, it's simply more than good enough and cheap for the producers to make, as the manufacturing technology is mature.

The Asian customer has always been further out, so this shouldn’t raise any eyebrows among investors who’ve listened to webcasts and read the reports.

STMicro are expected to be the first customer for sensor materials. Current materials still lead based which is most likely to remain lower volume imo, but we’ll have to see how it pans out.

Could be, but a certain fruitful company does have its AI development team based in that very area.

Nanosys were very proactive in communication, with regular blogs, an excellent youtube channel and really put themselves about at shows. How did that turn out?

I am personally cautiously optimistic about the company prospects. They've got cash for years, even after the payout, at the present cash burn.

I believe the main risks revolve around adoption of QD technology in sensors, and whether competitors can grab the market from Nanoco. I think QS Ltd are probably the most likely competitor, as their chief scientists are all ex-nanoco but they may presently be nobbled by Nanoco's seeding IP.

Should keep things focused on the company rather than commenting on individuals, otherwise it degenerates into a slanging match. Seen it on this board and the ADVFN has just become irrelevant to any reasonable discussion.

I think their profile will rise quickly enough if they get that contract. Once whatever product it's in hits the market, the secret will be out, they can't keep a lid on it forever. Share price soon moved leading up to the Samsung case, then sunk on the result.

Nanoco remains a highly speculative investment, albeit a less risky one than pre-settlement in terms of cash at least.

The perfect and stable way to restore shareholder value is to win contracts that underpin the company value.

Anything else is just speculative guff.

Possibly setting out terms for a contract in display? The company did say one potentially pending a while back.

I remember when this was by far the best performing share in my portfolio, my how times change.

You can have great technology, but if your costs vastly outstrip your income and you're reliant in capital investment, eventually the taps get turned off. AGM went down, with products on the shelf too. VRS look to be heading the same way.

Company isn't going to break even this year, or next. Not looking good IMO.

The CEO stated in the last webcast that they were looking at a range of options for distribution of the 10-12p per share. He said they didn't want to force income on people who preferred alternatives to a cash dividend, so I would expect to see two or three options on the table for shareholders, and perhaps holders can choose a bit of each if they wish.
