IIRC they got their fingers burnt last time they shorted Nanoco last year at around the ten pence mark.

This seems to align with Nanoco's expected time scale. If some recall the window slipped a bit from H2 2022 to 2023 for commercialisation, although we should see signs of production this year, if all goes to plan.

My understanding is that it's the difference in the colour ageing that causes the burn in to show. With all one colour, they'll all age at the same rate, in theory anyway.

Also they use just one colour of blue sub pixel, whereas LG use blue and yellow to produce white.

I'm surprised they showed any QD-OLED displays at all. As I recall, the manufacturing facility has only been running since the end of November, so not even a couple of months.

Pundits have differed on when we can expect to see these screens on sale, some predicting spring , others saying probably end of the year. My thoughts are they'll probably start appearing half way through, but with very limited numbers.

At full crank the facility is reported be able to produce 1m displays per annum, which isn't a huge amount, but the screens do use five times the amount of dots compared with Q:ED/LCD screens.

That should substantially raise the amount of dots being used by Samsung in the near future.

From what I've seen Sony, Dell and Alienware along with Samsung all coming through with QD-OLED TV and monitor screens in 2022.

Samsung are the only manufacturer of QD-OLED so far. I believe TCL are working n something similar but not ready for production.

Reports from pundits seem to be highly positive.

PTAB ruling is key in a little over sixteen weeks time.

Dow facility is mothballed.

Comes over as a sales pitch for Nanosys (no mention of Hansol, Nanoco etc.), but an interesting look at the competition's premises nevertheless.

We'll find out in the next few months. Meantime it will be interesting to see how well received Samsung's QD enhanced OLED screens are at CES 2022 in a little over a week.

Their entire case seems to be based on conjecture and belief, rather than actual proven facts. I can't see it washing with the PTAB legal beagles.

Display revenue at present is probably worth north of £200m per annum (for worldwide sales), and should scale sharply in coming years with the increase in QD enhanced displays and the introduction of screens with QD colour filters.

Sensor revenue could easily double revenue or eventually exceed display.

So the potential is there for revenue north of £500m per annum within two or three years from now. Given a forward earnings multiplier of ten times, that would value the company at £15+ per share, and that doesn't take into account any damages awarded, or business from other sectors like bio or lighting etc.

All depends on the IPR finding IMO. I believe if that goes our way the court case is more of formality.

Samsung's defence looks very shaky to me, but I'm not a legal expert.

I think there's probably a large buy order being filled.

Clearly some don't share your optimism. Share price certainly coming under some pressure, down around 25% since mid November.

Still, it's an opportunity to top-up for those that want to.

I don't think there'd be much PI's could do if LOAM and RG decided to throw in their hand.

I think the offer would have to be substantial to stand any chance of success though, even then not sure they would get anywhere.

Having said that could LOAM and RG accept or entertain any such offer? They're privy to inside information.
