Would it be an exaggeration to say that Nova's Saliva LFT Home Test still awaiting clearance after many months is superior to anything currently on the market and exempt from 'problems' concerning LFT's in curculation?
Mind the gap! :) Buys pouring into SNG after that tweet. It does not take much to change sentiment does it! NOTE NCYT! Like you K, I will give it to April but the way things are shaping unless Nova come up with something pisitive end Jan, I may not last that long. DA has MUCH to prove. I will be most disappointed if there has been no progress in an acquisition as no amount of cash in the bank appears to make any difference. Personally hoping for a TO.
Like a few others on the bb, I hold Synairgen (SNG) who have also taken a hammering over the last 2 days. However, to put PI's minds at rest they issued the following Tweet (remember those?) https://twitter.com/Synairgenplc/status/1478699824459485184?t=OE04qxOWEVEMRG_gSxhKvw&s=19 I am sure Nova could have issued something along similar lines as we have more to shout about than SNG who are excitedly awaiting P3 final results due this month. Result -- their SP is climbing. I ask you, what exactly is our PR team doing1
The sooner RM announces P3 results the better to try and stop this SP collapse again. Problem is many think current variant is so mild due to
non stop media coverage forgetting issues in rest of world. Think this battering will continue until hopefully good results may stableise price.
Gives good coverage on albeit LFTs titled 'Delays in approval mean UK lateral flow kits don't pass the red - tape test'. Much gnashing of teeth why certain UK companies whose products are used in the EU fail to meet with Porton Down's approval. - also awaiting CDTA approval etc. - Omega, Global Aspect, Avacta etc -priorities given to Chinese concerns with non too happy quotes from CEO's. Nothing I guess we do not already know and no mention of Nova but there is clealry considerable depth of feeling and let down by these concerns. Let's hope this abysmal govt. is listening!
... surely it can only get better in 2022? In theory lots to look forward to but I really want to know where Nova are on the M & A front. There was much expectation 6 months or so ago but diddly squat since then. This more than any DHSC eventual settlement, in my view is more important and the way forward. Will end of Jan results enlighten us - revenues are likely to be extremely healthy but without an upbeat message from DA, it could be more of the same and I thnk many of us will call it a day. DA has much to prove and so far has been rather a disappointment to put it mildly. Health and happiness to all on this forum.
I suspect RM will be bursting a gut to announce good news ASAP. Who knows. his early Jan. projection may be a tad on the conservative side and he may catch the market napping. Who in their right mind would want to be out at year end. I ask you!
Tend to agree with Brand. Any good news would be seized upon by the weekend press who like to list their tips for the New Year. Week 1 Jan. could therefore start with a blast and apart from a surge in SP, many will be cheered with potential fantastic news on the Covid front.
For those interested in how Samba Ii works it got a good airing on this programme by Dr Hill see link:https://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/m0012tzd/royal-institution-christmas-lectures-2021-1-the-invisible-enemy She said that the machine would shortly be distributed to hospital, care homes AND schools so exactly how big a rival is Samba to Nova? They appear to have quite a lead on us in the market place or have they? More than ever shareholders need an update from BOD!!
@DRB83 - I can confirm that one of the lecturers in this interesting programme was indeed Dr Helen Lee who in 2019 was appointed as a judge for the European Inventor Award. In May 2020, she was recognised on The Times' Science Power List because her invention, the diagnostic kit SAMBA II, which has been being repurposed (originally HIV) for use in COVID-19 testing. I think there are 2 more parts to this unusual series fronted by Van Tam. Interestingly the audience seemed to consist almost solely of teenagers
On BBC4 tonight introduced by Prof Van Tam on make up of viruses featured leading lecturers one of which was a lady with the surname Lee. In addition to LFT and PCR tests she discussed the merits of Multiplex and showed a machine saying these are or soon would be in hospitals. I struggled to see the name on the machine but it looked like Samba or similar.
... much more excitement on the SP fluctuation front - must go and lie down. I hear DA is auditioning for Robert Mitchum's old role in 'The Big Sleep'. Wake me up end of January - perhaps he may throw us a few scraps then. Come back GM -- all is forgiven -- life seemed almost exciting then!
... the SP was £8.66 and many LTHs would have been happy bunnies! Oh for a crystal ball to look at SP on Dec 17th 2022. Will we return to the heady heights of £12? I would settle for £8.66 and be gone. Life is too short!
