buy just gone through at 1.2 and a sell at 1.05. Spread over 14%. That gives no incentive to buy. London market is pathetic; sometimes even Ftse250 stocks are difficult to trade
Just bought at 91.5 - as usual the trade is shown as a sell on here! News has been overlooked in general market panic re Ukraine. My thinking is there has been conflict there for years. Putin is no fool and if the situation cools then markets will recover. If there is full blown nuclear war in Europe my portfolio will be the least of my worries!
I'm just looking for safe havens at the mo. Cash is not much of an option long term due to rising inflation. However the SP of anything I like the look of in the ftse350 seems to be struggling at present even tho the actual companies are doing ok. I am just in TSCO and BBOX at present.
loz - I tried on my mobile app and it didnt find the ticker, but on my computer Interactive Investor can recognise the ticker ADV - weird. Doesnt make any difference though - cannot buy any on interactive investor
SP weakness may be due to new shares issued re recent acquisitions. New shares commenced trading 16 July. If you still believe in the company see this as an opportunity.
Permit granted. Not much price reaction in Aus. Maybe a foregone conclusion although some were spreading doubt on hotc0pper every day when construction work began without permits. Maybe investor fatigue. Anyway, a good chance to get in at 2016 prices. Always darkest before dawn!
in theory you should be no better or worse off buying on xd date or just prior. If you are a holder what you lose on the share price dropping on xd date, you gain by getting the cash div. Likewise if you buy on xd date you get the shares cheaper but miss out on the next dividend payment. Thereafter, ignoring market forces etc the share price should gradually increase in anticipation of the next dividend. In reality however...
RB should liven up their product range. Airwick - who buys that? Dettol - stinks neurofen - generic paracetamol is better harpic - own brand loo fresheners better. They need some modern products not stuff grannies use.
