It's about securing the copper and gaining access to all the future $$$$ which will be worth more than £5-5.50 ..Glencore has a bright future regardless if the deal fails...

It's a win win if it succeeds or fails...as if you believe the electrification and copperization if the world and everything with in it then no reason why copper can not be the next gold. Glencore can still grow through acquisition...

Of course Glencore has a listing in the US!! The ADR. It boomed overnight.

Mr Market is giving their opinion in real time !! Right now think the SP needs to move way higher...

If it holds above 455p going into the US open (2:30 PM), we could realistically see a test of 470p before the day is out...

Are there more US institutional investors?? think this could see a second leg up in SP to 4.60p ... yes just checked ..think I am not in favour of a bid at these levels as there is little gap between 4.28 pre bid/merger talks and £4.48 ... If copper is $20k/tonne based on future demand, Glencore could be worth circa £9 a share easy!!

Haha buying more pairs won't help the share price, though I own 10 pairs lol .. think this could get taken out by a bid...very strong brand...if profitability comes back...they should run more with profit focus rather than growth...

Sort of agree but disagree. The external market has changed with the advent of AI. More copper is needed, much much more thank was known 2 years ago!!! This almost seems about navigating the scale of production required. Copper like gold will keep hitting new highs. I think £4.50 is way too cheap imho. £5 would be a minimum but the problem is there is none other than Tinto who can pull it off !!

Tbh glencore has traded over £5+ as recently as last year so not sure tbh...

Not sure why but seems like steady ascent up to that level...come on you Ocado... But still feel this will always be at the mercy of market whims! Imho :-)
