These have sold off with the market this morning...I think may spike back upwards to mid 1.45s fairly quick ...

Did purchase some ahead of these results....yes on reading the announcement felt this was a clear profit warning. The outlook and growth is being called into question by Mr Market who is all wise!

Seems like a profit warning but really unsure ...growth at the expense of profit?? Still profitable and growing dividend?.perhaps what matters is the direction of travel?? Outlook??

I think JD have not guided the market properly and subtly re forward guidance. They said early part of year that one off sports events would boost sales. Then they disappoint. Think this SP will be range bound for foreseeable future. Imho

Today is a knee jerk reaction for sure from Mr Market. But the real question is about growth and profit sustainability...NEXT seems to grow and up guidances...JD is static...is it structural?? Will they get caught out by over leveraging acquisitions for low margin growth? Permenant discounting by competition...?? Feel suckered out like the rest this morning as it was 1.65p just weeks ago...thinking it over ...

NO. Inflation below 2% bodes well for all low price point stocks cos they were hit the most by the inflation surge. Would not rule out back to 35p imminently for no other reason than this ..!

Think these results are quite good, NIM is higher than Barclays ... range is a muted response from Mr Market to a move back to 1.90
