I would say bank stocks to rally more than the rest before a market pullback. But the real turning point was a few days ago if anyone has been reading my posts. Rotation from growth to value, in particular to the banks who are the most sensitive to economic news.

Why would you sell when Dow opens??

If the OPEC and OPEC+ meetings now tomorrow, Saturday, SP going up means no one wants to be left behind with the rally on Monday (gap up) should a deal be reached, possibly back to 3.80+?? On the other hand, if no deal or poor deal then expect a big tank downwards (gap down) to the 3.00+ levels?

If this makes it to £1.30 before 1:30pm today then its probably going to fall like everything else on a bout of profit taking me reckons. But the range is still 1.17 - 1.32 - buying in at 1.20 will be a good trade imho - this price more supported than say 86-90p because the low point of the economic shock has passed...and oil price recovery should support the banks too???

Shame this hasn't rubbed off on Barc then cos the SP has barely moved the last 2 sessions. Something's amiss..or is it? Could the banks go higher after the jobs report at 1:30 and everything else falls? 50/50 on this idea..

Making a wager will all of you here that Brent crude oil price will stay at or pivot around $40. Reason is that shale producers are already coming online - that's why the cuts agreed so far will not be extended for more than a single month, say July. Extending for longer yes will drive up the price by curtailing the supply but if prices rise to quick then shale comes back online and floods the market again...OPEC want the $40 mark to linger for bit so see off the Shalers....??

I'm with Teddy100 here i.e. no SP progress this morning ... Saudi-Russia news was baked into the SP yesterday?

Could have a point but what I am watching is the S&P banking index...I can see folks are putting monies into value stocks...and less in growth stocks...hoping for a 1.25p finish for Barclays...! But near term yes FTSE prob overbought,,,,
