Following Motif Bio's rejection from FDA on a drug almost guaranteed to get approval. No drug is a guarantee however safe it is.

spike912 - Indeed further uses are years away hence why it's not looking good for Motif's current situation, best case scenarion is in the next year or so we can get back to the 20's or so and most of us break even.

Those who bought higher could take a chance and top up now to bring your average down.

@spike912 - Because it's forming other partnerships to analyse the effects of Iclaprim. Doesn't seem to be the sort of thing one would do if they were positive it was just a few minor adjustments needed or my personal fav 'labelling issue'
to me it appears very likely additional trials will be needed and Motif have to then come to the decision
1) to they continue with the path towards treating of ABSSSI in the hope of obtaining FDA OR
2) Do they venture into new areas that Iclaprim could be used for?

The latter seems the more likely to me. But in due course we will find out

Best case scenario in my opinion is either of Motif Bio's new ventures whether it be the German university looking into Iclaprims effects on treating rare eye disease.

or It's partnership with Llamenra for treating cystic fibrosis reacts well to the market and we can get into the 20p region within the year (at best) but FDA approval on treating Accute skin infections looks extremely unlikely.

Let's not get carried away here and be realistic.

Because they where seeking approval to use Iclaprim for ACUTE BACTERIAL SKIN AND SKIN STRUCTURE INFECTIONS.

Now they appear to be lining up other avenues in which Iclaprim can be used for. Involving more trials etc.

LOL it's my feeling which i am off course praying is completely wrong. hardly a big conspiracy or massive de-ramp attempt. This forum is about people expressing there opinions.

Basing my post on Motif Bio's partnership with Llamenar to start conducting pre-cinical trials for Iclaprim's effect on Cystic Fibroses that everybody seem's to be avoiding.

It goes against there thesis completely on using Iclaprim to treat acute skin infections and it being just a few minor adjustments to get FDA. .

Arghh it is back to clinical trials and a long long road ahead with this company. May have to sell at a substantial loss and try to re-gain elsewhere.

Minutes of Meeting is just a delay on the inevitable.

Let's see. Down another 3% tomorrow before rising back to where we are today midweek with some slow gains after bringing us back to sub 100 by Friday getting people excited of the 6% rise when in actual fact we are in the same position from the week before lol.

Best case scenario offcourse is it gets back to todays opening so i can just sell and break even and be out. Honestly had enough of this company.

We are wasting our time and hard earned money here. Money to be made elsewhere in a company that deserves it.

I wonder if Motif Bio would have been better of tapping into the EMA instead? Iclaprim seem's to safe for FDA they have concerns lol but will grant opiod drugs or propecia bizzare

hate to sound like a pessimist here but the more I listen to my head and not my heart I really can't see a positive outcome here. We are still down over 80% post approval high and 3rd week in from the FDA meeting and still further falls in the share price. No big buys coming in either and nobody seems to see Motif's partnership with Lamellar as a concern.
If they were so confident in Iclaprim and it was just a few minor adjustments needed why would they form a partnership down a different route at pre-clinical trial stage? especially when they are strap for cash?

Lot of things don't add up to me here, there is a more serious issue as to why this drug can't get past FDA, before Motif took over the previous company had also failed.
