Victims of the 2013 landslide in the port of Santana are honored.
On the morning of this Sunday (10), a tribute was paid to the six workers at the Port of Santana.
Family and friends were present at the company's administrative headquarters to accompany the special moment.
The tragedy happened in March 2013, after a landslide. At the time, the structure was under the responsibility of another mining company, not yet owned by DEV Mineração.
“We have the purpose of transforming people's lives for the better through iron ore. And that includes the values ??of respect for the history and memory of the communities where we operate”, said the director of DEV Mineração, Raquel Dalseco.
“We are in the study phase to recover the entire structure of the port and make it work again. Before that, it is necessary to understand everything that these families suffered and faced in these difficult times, but they remain firm and overcome each stage of life. Therefore, this tribute has a very special meaning”, she added.
The event was also attended by religious representatives, with Deacon Sandro, who was on behalf of the Catholic community in Santa Catarina, and Pastor Aroldo Vasconcellos, as a member of the Protestant community of the city, where both leaders were able to express a word of faith and hope to the participants.
“That tragic day will always be in the memory of the people of Amapá, but today we try to remember in a positive way that better days will come”, said Pastor Aroldo Vasconcellos.
