"Initially, it is important to mention that the last shipment related to iron ore was carried out in April
2022, and the reason for the non-occurrence of new shipments, according to the Company under Reorganization, was mainly due to the
reasons given below:
ï Devaluation of the value of iron ore;
ï Increase of the value referring to the cost with freight;
ï The public port is prepared for the vessel of soybeans and chips, in this way, whenever the “DEV” needs to carry out loading of
iron ore, it is necessary to hire the “Supramax” type of ship, as this modality is self-loading (it comes with a crane) and
supports an amount of 50 thousand thionels of iron ore. The impasse in this case is the scarcity of ships of this size.
Measures that are being taken, so that there is the resumption of the vessels, without having to wait for the appreciation of the iron ore
iron or reduced shipping cost:
ï Efforts are being made in negotiations with suppliers that provide chemical and physical analysis services, in order to
to achieve a better condition of values ??and payment terms;
ï Readjust the cost reduction with other suppliers.
As informed on the previous slide, there are currently no shipments being carried out, which is why there is a minimum amount of
employees being maintained, with the aim of dealing with the matters of the operation, as well as maintaining the physical preservation of the place.
There are currently around 22 employees at the Santana Unit, 10 of which are directly hired and 12 are indirect.
It was observed that in the administrative office, there were professionals performing their activities. The environment was organized and
in good condition, containing the following departments:"
