In today's news , Very few Pakistanis and Bangladeshis come here illegally via small boats or in the back of a wagon.

They prefer the fake visa route it is safer, even though the fake visas are full of spelling mistakes and other errors .

So who checks them considering that 25% of Home Office Staff /Immigration dept are from minorities or even immigrants it does seem odd that so many civil servants cannot read English or is there something more sinister afoot?

As I pointed out yesterday Pakistanis alone send £3 billion per year home in remittances, but according to government figures 39% of Pakistanis do not work!

On Pakistanis and remittances they send home.

Over £3 billion per year, there are 1 million working age people of Pakistani or descent or born there in the UK .

But of course not all of that number will actually be in work.

If everyone was working they would need to send home on average £3000 per year to meet that £3 billion number.

The UK is the third largest sender of remittances to Pakistan after Saudi Arabia and the UAE.

Over £30 billion per year is sent home worldwide.

Remittances from the UK are £10 billion per year.

So Reeves chases money for growth but loses £10 billion per year to remittances then add in the Foreign aid bill .

A lot of money that should be used here to drive growth is actually encouraged to be off shored just as our jobs were, money that should be driving our economy is driving other economies.

They could cut immigration and save Billions per year.

The small changes to immigration that come into force this month on the 25th alone could save £3 billion per year alone, by restricting the import of low grade workers and non-workers and their dependants.

The government now admits, believe it or not, that low quality immigration puts strains on Education, housing and the HNS as examples.

They want higher grade immigrants who would contribute more ie pay tax and pay their own way in life, something so many of us excluding yourself have been pointing out for some time.

Again the irony there is always some little fly in the ointment !

Those reduced numbers in low skilled low contributing legal immigrants will be off set by the rise in illegals and their dependants, so that £3 billion saving will be little more than a game of playing with numbers. But they can say that they have cut legal immigration and saved £3billion they will just not or try not to mention the doubling of illegal immigration which actually carries a greater cost, to we the tax payers, excluding your self of course who pays no taxation in the UK as you so often tell us.
