A report out recently says that by 2030 ie 9 years the elites of the world that 1% which is about 80million souls will produce 16% of the man made Co2 footprint. So the poor 2-3 billion are being made to subsidise the so called elite.
Before the usual suspects turn on me, the organisation who produced the report was OXFAM and a research group.

The best way yo solve many of the planets problems is via population control, but that is the elephant in the room.
India is bragging that it will have a bigger population than China very soon. The population of Africa is around 800 million half under the age of 25yrs . The populations of the Middle East and Turkey are like wise going through the roof.

I see that a certain Greenie Craig Bennet ,says nuclear energy requires subsidies well he should be honest and say every renewable source of energy is dependant on subsidies, big ones .
I have shares in Gore Street Energy a company supplying back- up to the national grid for when the turbines don't turn.
The Turbines are subsidies and Gore Street is via, being paid 8 times more per kw than the national grid costs to produce the same kw of power.

Like you I consider this share to have become a joke, once it gets to my break even price I will be off, to many years waiting for some sort of return .
