panama..how come my drinks bill is rocketing? If I remember rightly, our last bet was a double or quits after I felt sorry for the fact you had lost the first bet and put in a ridiculous guess of 14.2p last Friday (knowing full well I would lose). As a reward for my kindness it seems I now owe you three drinks!

However, I'm happy to have a rummage into my deep pockets with my short arms and see what I can find. :)

Fred...I'm sure she would enjoy the company but I don't think it is a 'boys only' do at all. The only snag is the numbers as far as I know; fifteen in total but I get a strong feeling we will have plenty of space as quite a few board members are finding it difficult to get there. We're intending to make a day of it tomorrow and will drive down to arrive mid-afternoon. No, not in the motorhome, that will be staying on the forecourt (but primed and ready for any eventuality, of course).

She, who will be obeyed, will not be joining us and has said she would rather spend an evening staring blankly out of a lonely hotel window in Godalming, than talk about the length and breadth of drill holes at haveyerhairon. However, I know she will be like a greyhound out of a trap to join us if numbers are lower than expected and to advise concisely on how we can spend our money wisely on jewellery, dresses and expensive perfume (That last bit is rubbish btw. Don't tell her I wrote that).

It's going to be a very upbeat evening. The air will be full of static in anticipation and there will be undoubtedly a glass or three raised to all who could not make it. Alternatively, we will all be staring at our mobile phones and typing..like we do every night haha.

Jerry, now that will be very amusing. Better than turning up with a post-it note stuck to the forehead anyway.

It does seem a bit odd but I think the very recent interest in pharmacy shares has drawn some investors away ( in part and temporarily) and also taken the share off the radar for those who might have been considering it. Moreover, the share would appear to be on time-delay to day traders who would ply their trade in the aforementioned.

I believe it will boom when the 13p barrier looks genuinely broken but then i would say that wouln't I! :)

Hopefully that will be on Thursday.

jaguar, you would need to sell when you think the share has surged somewhat. If it is anything like Halifax, where I have my isa, you need to wait three days before these funds 'clear' then move the cash across, praying of course that you got your timing right and the price doesn't surge again within that time period!

At the moment I've seen more surge in a mill pond but I'd wait until the end of the week maybe after the ncm results have been issued and digested. Just my opinion.

I rather like the chat about potential price rises. It's exciting and makes me happy. Mickey's are best because they reach for the sky. I'd rather read that than posts from misery guts who expect it will rain any time soon.

As for being on uppers, you should have paid a visit to the board last night greedo. You'd have seen some of the most psychotic posts I've ever read on a message board and they weren't wishing us all well funnily enough. Thankfully, they have all been removed.

GH may be asked about it in the interviews that inevitable follow the quarterly reports (ncm AND ggps!). It will be interesting to know what has begun at scally and the plan for the next few months.

Thanks panama and sorry to hear you are enduring a similar situation with a parent suffering dementia. They say that some men can 'box up' emotions into separate compartments. Blimmin good job! It's the only way I can deal with both parents being in a seriously ill condition while still enjoying this great company and the future prospects it appears to have.

So often, when I consider my investment here, it is like those little text notifications you get from the National Lottery telling you that you've won but you don't quite know, until you open the box, whether it is a free go next week or the jackpot.

My mum is in a care home for dementia and I haven't seen her for six months. I checked with the care home yesterday and it is likely this lockdown will continue for a lot longer. It's very painful to think that I may never see her again. However, this group of elderly folk remain the most vulnerable to the virus and as weird as it is, I am happy to help the authorities minimise the spread of this awful virus by giving my name address, telephone number, email, shoe size or even how many fish I caught on my last outing (16 btw fyi).

It's interesting to consider how share buyers view the potential of GGP.

I think how Lionel Messi, a runt of a kid with a growth deficiency, was signed up by a Barcelona president who believed he had potential. The boy needed a course of growth hormones at a cost of £1000 per week. This to build his body up to the rigors of the professional game after having been taken from his native Argentina to play in the Spanish league. At any time during his young career he could have 'failed to make the grade'. (For a host of reasons, around five out of six players signed up at 16, fail to obtain professional contracts at age 21. He was 13 when contracted by the club.)

I don't know how much he cost exactly but I understand it was a package including a salary and accommodation for his extended family. Let's say it amounted to £1 million to get him established.

His worth to the club since then has been absolutely astronomic and would run into billions via the inflated worldwide interest in the FC Barcelona 'brand' as well as the club's extra success in competitions, of course.

Where is GGP if it were Lionel Messi? How far along the career path? The market would say, "maybe a couple of appearances on the subs bench". However, we believe there are a lot of 'sparkling' performances to come!
