Bablake...I mean it seemed a lot of money for a car at £110k! We sold ours for £400 before we left the UK :)

I'm not sure if this has been posted before but reading the ii list of top performing AIM stocks last year, GGP come in fourth and top of all mining-related shares. Article reads as follows:

Well, when the pre-Christmas dates disappeared it seemed less likely to me that results would be announced before Jan 4th. Of course, it's easy to say that after the market has closed but what with new year, new ventures, new ceo being bedded in and all offices fully open again, the time is now right for the RNS we are all waiting for. You know the one. The one where you wake up a little late, click on the GGP board here at 7.45am and there is a number 1 against the icon 'RNS' and 500 posts to read. That one...

Well that's a shame. The thread concerned contained some useful information but I think I managed to consign the relevant stuff to memory before going out this morning. A lovely day. An Atlantic swell smashed waves against the sea walls of a seaside town and a beer on the terrace of a cafe above the turbulence was quite something in the broken sunshine. Cost? The diesel there and back and two euros for the beers.

Saw a wonderful VW Golf Cabriolet there mind...

The Baileys look-alike 'almost' tastes like Baileys and the dark beer in a bottle is just like real ale...nearly. No matter. The bottle of fizzy white stuff in a champagne bottle is probably like an approximate champagne. We are shaping up some turnip to look like slices of parsnip and our lovely Christmas pudding in custard (aka tiramisu) will follow with a glass on brandy. Yes! Not a KTel 'Looks like Brandy' by the session singers, but real Brandy!!! Yeeeey!!

Some excellent reflections here. However, for sheer perseverance and belief in this share, and a selfless attitude for sharing all his findings, as CountTheChickens has suggested, Paddygall must get the first prize. Thanks Paddy!

It's true about making loads of predictions until one is right CtC but to suggest in February (when the share was struggling to hold 4p) that the price would be in double figures and the MRE would be out before the year end was pretty debateable at the time. I think you may have edged first place.....for the moment.

There are some very good claims here and there could be a winner amongst them. Anyone else? Can you find the post that said you believed GH was going to announce in December that he would step down? Did you predict the Juri agreement? Did you guess within .2 m ox what the MMRE would be for Havieron? Somewhere amongst this tome of messages lies the most accurate and, at the time, seemingly outrageous claim...that proved to be true!

wash1 as admirable as that is (and I know since I have worked for three charities in my time and it is criminal how much goes out on staff wages) it does not qualify as a GGP claim. Well done though!

TheDolloo That's uhh...a very good. So your claim to fame is working for a Lord we do not know for an unknown period of time . Not in the top ten yet.

I dread to think how many posts there have been this year on the GGP forum. We have opinions, assertions, bold statements and predictions. There must be a 'number one'. There must be someone reading this right now who has the biggest claim to fame. Someone who stated, for example, "This share will reach 37p by year end" but on 10th January perhaps, but is has been lost amongst the huge collection of posts.. Stake your claim now and let's vote on the boldest and most accurate statement of the year!
