Serco Awarded New Contract
Serco awarded new contract to deliver logistics and base support services for
the Australian Defence Force in the Middle East

Serco Group plc (Serco), the international services company, announces today
the award of a new contract with the Australian Defence Force (ADF) to provide
logistics and base support services in the Middle East.
The two-year contract is valued at around A$50m and has two one-year extension
options. Under the contract, Serco will deliver fully integrated support for
ADF bases to ensure the provision of high-quality services in areas such as
maintenance and ground refuelling, together with healthcare, accommodation and
other support functions. The services will be implemented in a staged approach,
with all services fully operational by the end of September 2011.
Serco provides support under multi-activity contracts for the armed forces in
UK, US, Canada, Germany and Australia. We have supported the ADF for more than
15 years providing: garrison support services to the army; maritime engineering
and technical services to the navy; and logistics, engineering advice and
aircraft maintenance support to the air force. We also have 60 years of
experience providing services in the Middle East with services including air
traffic control, metro operations and support for higher education
establishments.
