EU STANDING COMMITTEE RECOMMENDATION FOR EU APPROVAL PureCircle (LSE: PURE) the world's largest producer and marketer of high purity stevia today provides a stevia market update concerning proposed EU regulatory approval of high purity stevia. PureCircle notes that at its 4 July 2011 meeting, the EU Standing Committee on Food Chain and Animal Health voted to recommend the approval of high purity stevia for use as a food ingredient throughout the EU. This is an important milestone in the process for high purity stevia to achieve full EU approval. The Standing Committee has also recommended that the temporary French approval be extended to ensure no disruption in the France market. The next step in the regulatory process for high purity stevia is scrutiny of the proposed regulations by the European Parliament. If these next steps progress well, then it is likely that high purity stevia will be allowed to be used as an ingredient in the EU by November 2011.

Trading Update 5 July 2011 - Zotefoams, which manufactures and sells high-performance foams, today, announces its trading update for the six months ended 30 June 2011. Like-for-like sales excluding the consolidation of MuCell Extrusion LLC ("MEL") for the six months ended 30 June 2011 are approximately 10% above that in the same period last year driven by growth in our Azote® polyolefin foam products. Revenues from our High-Performance Polymers for the first half of 2011, which depend on the phasing of relatively large shipments, are at a similar level to that experienced in the first half of 2010. The integration of MEL, which is trading in line with our expectations, into the Zotefoams Group is now substantially complete. We are planning to invest further resource in this business to support our medium term plans for growth. As previously reported, raw material prices have been significantly higher than the equivalent period last year with certain supply related issues caused by high levels of market demand for polymer products worldwide. This has impacted margins in the short term but now operational improvements and the benefit of sales price increases are being seen in the business. Overall, with the benefit of higher sales levels in the first half of the year, the Company is trading in line with expectations and the Board remains confident of the Company's future prospects. The Company will announce its interim results for the six months ended 30 June 2011 on Tuesday, 2 August 2011.

Northland Capital Partners initiated coverage of Qihang Equipment Company (QIH) with a "buy" recommendation and 25p target price. While noting that the group is a fast-growing Chinese machine tool producer that came to AIM as a result of the acquisition of Win Yu international Investments by China Wonder, the broker said the shares represent an interesting way to play continuing industrialisation in China. Northland added that the strong economic growth will underpin the company's end market, driving earnings growth over the next few years

Ceramic Fuel Cells MCS accreditation update Tuesday 5 July 2011 Ceramic Fuel Cells Limited [AIM/ASX: CFU], a leading developer of high efficiency and low emission power products for homes, is pleased to announce that BRE Global, an independent, third-party approvals organisation, has completed the technical assessment of Ceramic Fuel Cells' BlueGen Microgeneration Heat and Power (mCHP) product to be certified under the UK Microgeneration Certification Scheme (MCS). The Company's submission met all of the requirements under MCS standard MCS015 and is now awaiting final certification from BRE Global. BRE Global is awaiting accreditation from the United Kingdom Accreditation Service (UKAS) under standard MCS015, published in November 2010, before it can issue a certificate under this standard to Ceramic Fuel Cells. Once final certification is received BlueGen customers will be able to benefit from the UK government's Feed in Tariff financial incentive scheme. The Company will update shareholders as soon as final certification is received.

Trading Update K3, which provides and supports Enterprise Resource Planning software, hosting and managed services to the supply chain industry, is pleased to announce the following update on trading for the financial year to 30 June 2011. The Group's trading results for the year ended 30 June 2011 are anticipated to be in line with current market expectations, with both sales and adjusted operating profit* showing a significant increase year on year. The rise reflects both the benefit of acquisitions, with acquisitions performing well, and approximately £20m of annual recurring income, which is primarily derived from software licence and support renewals. Despite the tough market conditions, K3 continues to sign an encouraging level of major new contracts overall. Sales to existing customers are on an upward trend and are encouraging. As a result of the acquisitions made over the last 12 months and the trend towards spreading payments across the life of the contract, the Group's net debt position at 30 June 2011 is expected to stand at approximately £15.8m (2010: £10.98m). The development of the Group's hosting and managed services offering is progressing well and remains a focus for investment. As these business segments grow, they will increasingly contribute to the Group's long term contracted income and cash flows. The Board's strategy of seeking complementary acquisitions to help to accelerate organic growth remains in place and the Board is continuing to review potential acquisitions which will add contracted, recurring income through the addition of easily integrated customer bases, as well as acquisitions which will further develop the Group's product offering. The London Stock Exchange would be open to considering a merger of equals with Nasdaq OMX, the US exchange operator, in the first sign that the British bourse could yet turn its attention to securing its future in another big merger after its attempted tie-up with Canada’s TMX Group collapsed. Nasdaq’s chief executive, Bob Greifeld, is considering an approach for the LSE but people familiar with the matter said advisers were not yet formally involved. Nor had Mr Greifeld spoken with his counterpart at the LSE, Xavier Rolet, reports the Financial Times.

Unilever hopes that the promise of a real job from the outset will prove more attractive than an investment bank’s pay package in luring top MBA graduates. The maker of Magnum ice cream and Dove soap plans to quadruple the number of workers it hires with the qualification in the next two years to support its continuing drive into emerging markets and to meet its goal of doubling sales, reports the Times.

Singer Capital Markets also reiterates a buy on Vectura Group and kept its target price at 100p.

Collins Stewart has reiterated buy and left its target price unchanged at 106p.

Announcement of European Commission Repeal of Decision Elementis plc (the "Company") announces today that the European Commission repealed its decision against the Company and certain of its affiliates ("Elementis") of 11 November 2009, which had imposed fines totalling Euro 23.4 million on Elementis based on a finding that Elementis had participated in two cartels during the 1980s and 1990s. The Commission repealed that decision after Elementis lodged an appeal with the General Court of the European Union and after that Court affirmed in another case the legal principles invoked by Elementis. The repeal of the decision confirms the Elementis position that the Commission's decision against Elementis had no legal basis. As a result of the repeal of the decision of 11 November 2009, the European Commission will now repay to Elementis the full amount of Euro 23.4 million plus interest. It is Elementis policy to conduct its business in full compliance with all applicable laws including competition laws.
