Very curiously, I'm unusually literate, exceptionally well educated & 50 odd years a journalist, despite which many, many acronyms are indecipherable. I think their usage is invariably pig ignorant.

You exhibit the most poisonous type of psychology of wanting to control the minutiae of what other people think, do or say, the sort of nitwit who is so mentally challenged all they are likely to ever do for a living is to be a petty bureaucrat & general nose-picker.

Straighttalker & VanV you are both more obsessed with spouting argumentative nonsense rather than actually genuinely trying to explain exactly why both types of tests might be equally valid and both have their equally valid but separate places - which I'm assuming they do, It's just I can't understand why as amidst all the thousands of words of incompetent woffle I've read, nobody has had the nouse or ability to explain why there might be a separate place for each of these different ways of testing for the same thing.

And I only mention Seadoc as at least he knows a bit about medicine, even though he says he is a shorter. I'm definitely NOT a shorter though but have just sold my holding in NYCT so as to buy Avacta instead which looks as though it's a better bet. But I might be wrong. That is exactly why I'm asking for clarification which might encourage me back into NYCT when I can find some more dosh.

What is the point/advantage of using the slower, clumsier Novacyt PCR test. Surely everyone would want to only use the Avacta Lateral Flow test which is instant and can be used by any person at the point of contact ?

Despite reading for hours about nyct PCR & avacta lateral flow testing for Covid 19 antigens, there is a total inability of anyone to explain why there would be a market for both things which appear to do exactly the same but avacta being simpler & quicker and the Novacyt PCR test being clumsily slow & needing a laboratory. Both are antigen testers. So, my questation is, now that Avacta have a speedy, accurate & cheaper & easier to use test, why would anyone prefer to use the Novacyt test at all if they could use the Avacta one instead.

Can someone please explain ? Seadoc ? Anyone ?

If you read the details you can see it is clearly an entirely malicious complaint founded almost entirely on fiction from a deranged imagination. Someone ought to take action against these toxic liars for being completely malicious. Perhaps Ascent could instigate a court action and claim a very large amount of damages against them as this complaint is complete fiction.

I see no one seems to know where the conference call is available on the AST website & the link in the RNS just takes you to the AST home page.. And I just phoned the Flagstaff investor communications people working for Ascent & there was no-one at their desks to speak to me & so I phoned Nomad WH Ireland & got the same brush off there too.

Pssst ! those million odd shares only cost me about £2200 !!

I was just playing with a spreadsheet (as you do) and thought if this share ten bags within a year as some people mention it might, then what weekly average increase in the share price would that require. My spreadsheet says it takes a weekly average rise of 4.7% to go from 0.11 to 1.1penny. Quite possible if the business is now managed more intelligently for a change. After all, the share price was about thirty times what it is now just under four years ago.

Hmmmmn, I thought. So what would happen if this company was managed properly from now on and continues to develop existing assets to dig out the ground the maximum value of minerals already available as well as seek new assets through exploration & deal making. Could it ten bag again ? Well, yes, it could ! Africa is like a big money tree with all sorts of amazing opportunities. I know, I've lived there & magicked a small business out of thin air without me even having to find a penny of my own to buy it.

So could the share price be 12p two years from now - providing the business was properly managed from now on ?

What do you people here think ? Yes or no ?

If yes, it is a possibility, then just by stretching this apparent improbability just a tiny bit further, I thought I now own more than a million shares so how long might it reasonably take for the share price to reach one pound - thus making my million odd share holding worth a little over a million quid.

The answer, dear readers, is about 150 weeks, or about three years at an average of 4.7% a week, ten bagging each year for three years.

Is that possible ? Yes. Is it likely ? Mmmmmn. Could be if someone who can make things happen ran the business, but George ?

We are not all perfect. I made a thoughtless fat finger mistake. Obviously I should simply have used the word 'management' instead of board member.

It's irrelevant at this stage whether John Buggenhagen as Chief Operating Officer (non-board position) is a board member or not. His appointment clearly indicates things are likely to change - quickly.

It is true that AST has been completely abused by the mentally backward, primitive, ill educated, uncivilised and corrupt Slovene Government who employ people more suited to living in the Stone Age than in more intelligently run modern times; but this is not Colin Hutchinson's fault. It is difficult to see how anyone else could have fared any better than Colin in these poisonous circumstances.

I find it really offensive to see the utter drivel written on this bulletin board, particularly it's recent focus on mindless, thick, stupid, downright ignorant abuse directed at Colin without a shred of evidence that anyone could have done better.

It all hinges on the IPPC & other permits which, if they had been granted, even if only recently, would have produced a manifestly much higher share price. How can Colin be held accountable for the disgusting behaviour of the backward Slovene Government and the petty minded idiot Jure Leben employed by that infantile, childishly corrupt bunch of dishonest Third World politicians in Slovenia ?

I am a private investor who subscribed to the Primary Bid offer at 0.3p in the full knowledge that the share price would initially go down. This bought me twice the number of shares I already owned for a lot less money and brought my average down a lot, thus making the shareholding vastly more profitable should the company sort itself out.

The reason I took what I know is a gamble which may lose me all the money I invested is because Colin has clearly shown things are about to change. He is no longer ‘only’ sitting on his hands waiting for the permits. He intends & has initiated legal action which has a foregone certainty of success for AST and is looking to engage in other projects in places where Governments are less stupidly ignorant and obstructive.

All things being equal, the permits will appear & AST will take off and never have to look back as it continues in Slovenia as well as hedging it’s bets by other activities in other territories.

Just a smidgeon of intelligent thinking should make people realise that Colin would have to be much more thick than two short planks to allow AST to completely disintegrate into a total loss.

AST represents a cash flow which has had a rough time because of the Slovene government corruption, but can be rescued - even in the most extreme circumstances of completely abandoning the Slovene activity being deliberately trashed by a filthy government.

Why would anyone with more than one brain cell just sit around and do nothing ? Colin is not likely to follow that course of action, neither is the new board member.

Most people don't bother to instruct their brokers to vote on their behalf. It's easy; all you have to do is email or phone them well before the Tuesday November 20th meeting. That means do it NOW ! There is no time left to do it later as it has to be done a couple of days before the meeting.

If you don't bother to vote and Ascent finds it cannot get shareholder permission to raise further funds IF needed, the company may well be forced into oblivion if there is any further delay or even refusal of the IPPC because Ascent will have no cash at all to do anything else.

Why Can't AST Take Legal Action via the European Authorities ? To force the IPPC to be issued. A threat of huge damages against the issuing authority might persuade them not to 'abuse their public office' as it appears to be a clear demonstration of wilful corruption.

Isn't the whole point about membership of the European Union supposed to be the eradication of bureaucratic corruption & mismanagement so as to improve trade ?

Or have I got it completely wrong and in fact membership of the European Union is actually all about the creation of a nightmare, dystopian world of insane bureaucracy which makes it impossibly difficult to get anything at all done, ever.

Perhaps that might explain why the UK wants to leave this idiot organisation as the entire UK seems to have ground to a halt with bureaucracy poisoning everything and making starting up any business more difficult than at any time in history.

Can anyone tell me why this bulletin board shows today's price up for UKOG by about 50% when Hargreaves Lansdown show about 23% up. the same seems to be the case for other stocks like ast is up on HL by 6% but only 2.86% here ?
