RE: give it a rest4 Feb 2021 17:02
I saw it. Boo is the only *platform* that is doing such model it seems. So they will have to prove such model works. THG, Next, Asos will be able to offer full service basically. I havent read much about thg, just looking at hotel chocolate rns.
Asos said its building of new ‘rest of Europe’, ‘rest of the world’ and UK sites would result in a more localised site experience. The new sites allow experiences to be tailored to the market, around content, visual merchandising and price zones. From the new sites, it will also be possible to manage stock and fulfilment independently. Asos also plans to add two new language specific sites over the next six months. Is Boo able to do any of that?
Boo got warehouses in UK so far. Asos had to integrate us and Eu warehouses , thats where they had issues.
As i said, i don't see anything special so far about boo platform. They bought some brands which hardly generate any revenue yet. Except Nasty Gal. And i see NG losing instagram followers fast. Once i see this Debenhams model and new brands sales, then i will judge their *platform.* Right now all they do is throw money at google, fb and influencers to generate sales on their constantly crashing mobile apps according to customers. Boo could just tell more about their platform and its capabilities in their FY statement, instead of just shouting that they have a platform.
