RE: Next week12 Aug 2024 20:37
evening gubbie. we will get a chance to participate in the retail offer, but details about that won’t be made available until after admission of the consideration shares, which will be on 19/8. the full timetable is near the end of the acquisition/placing rns.

so, by that time both the placing shares and consideration shares will have hit the market.
on the face of it that retail offer doesn’t look hugely exciting at 9.75p and it does seem unlikely, at least to me, that they’ll raise the £500k limit given the current bid/ask prices. but then surely yates would have known that was likely to be the case, so i’ve been thinking about;
1. why ivdeology sold to us for 100% paper at prevailing market prices.
2. why edwin lindsay, at 51, sold his expanding and successful business to us for an initial consideration at nearly 50% paper, and at a moderate discount to sp. he didn’t need to sell and it’s clear to me, given his connections, he would have had choices - so why us…?
3. why we were able to raise at such a low discount given current capital markets
4. the fact that we are, for the first time i’m aware of, a primary sponsor of a heavyweight us centric conference, where our mark jones is speaking about innovation, that conference taking place just as all placing and consideration shares have hit the market, but before the retail offer.
a lot of this might be explained if ivdeology, edwin, and the capital markets, believed a major announcement was forthcoming at the summit. perhaps wishful thinking, but if there were such an announcement that ballooned the sp then i suspect uptake of the retail offer would be much more significant!
probably ******, but i am quietly hoping. first stop will be weds to see any indication at all about who participated in the raise.
