I think it’s worth reiterating a point JonTee2021 made at the start of this thread.

In the Archer interview AM made clear not only that an announcement will be made at DSEI, but that it will be made together with Whitespace…..and a hyperscaler.

For me that tends to indicate that the project has gone well beyond an R&D pilot to something that’s real and scalable, and that aligns with MOD/NATO cloud strategy (making adoption and export easier). And I think it should boost credibility with government, primes, and investors, and position Defence Holdings + Whitespace as the sovereign AI layer on top of global hyperscaler infrastructure.

Further on this, the 4 companies were awarded up to £50m.

But £50m less £34m is £16m. Can’t say for certain that’s what they’ve been awarded, but it’s a reasonable assumption I think.

Not a bad start if correct though. And remember, the UKDI launched in July with a £400m annual budget and a clear drive to move quickly in funding innovation, so plenty of other funding opps out there beyond going to the market.

Coincides beautifully with the when we rebranded, and you’re not telling me we weren’t in discussion with Whitespace at the time.

I was aware Whitespace were one of the first companies in the new govt Engine for Growth.

I wasn’t aware of this though, as announced in May by the govt.

Yep. What’s equally interesting I think is that this whole piece was AI generated by Whitespace using their Tarkin solution, and represented the first time ever that wholly generated AI evidence was used before a govt committee.

Good news today which should help accelerate take up. Remember, current budget money needs to be used by the end of the month, if I recall correctly.

DSEI is 9/12 Sept. It’s the world’s largest security and defence show. Andy M has already signposted that news on one of the MOD projects will be announced there.

Additionally, I see “Bertie Basset” from Whitespace, recently appointed our VP of Defence Programs, will be on the “Land Forum” on 10/9 from 15.00 to 15.50 as part of a part of a panel discussing “ Unlocking decision advantage: Accelerating coherent AI adoption and building the right digital skills”. From what I can see that is a high profile platform. The panel session is promoted thus;

Equally, the 5 August trading update made no mention of the own brand Salistick launch in Germany, which in a March we were told would be in Q2 calendar year 2025. Fair chance that’s died a death too I fear given we’re now 2 months late on that launch timetable.

Who knows for sure. Historically though, ABDX staff and particularly the leadership have reacted to Loop posts, so it is odd that none have reacted (as far as I can see) to what is a milestone announcement. Equally, Loop has always been a standing example used in company presentations alongside Salistick, Upfront, 52N etc, but Yates didn’t mention them at all in his blog two weeks or so ago.

So I think your concerns may have sound basis, even though it’s impossible to confirm.

Agree, if no TR1 then we can assume Riverfort are out, but I think the reporting deadlines mean it could come later than tomorrow. We only got the last Riverfort TR1, for example, on 26/8 even though they went below 3% on 19/8.

40m shares is a whopper.

Looking through the best list of major shareholders I could find, the only ones holding more than that, excluding share platforms, are;

- Jonathan Bixby - 47.1m (presumably the Cykel CEO/Founder?). Can’t see him selling.

- Riverfort - 57.5m

- Vinod Koshy- 66.7m (following a May 25 conversion of a convertible loan entered into with GILD.)

- 00Nation AS - 100m (another e-sports/gaming company)

It could easily be Riverfort are finally out. Equally, Koshy and/or 00Nation could be exiting given the new direction the company is taking. If they are then we’d expect a TR1.

And whilst others will Im sure already know this, it was interesting for me to see that David Beckham holds 24.5m shares!

Whatever, the price has still risen despite banging against such heavy sell volume. When that block is gone who knows what will happen, especially as it may well coincide with a juicy announcement at DSEI next week.

As I’ve said before - we need to be manufacturing something that’s selling in very decent volume. The most immediate possibility is Upfront, but whilst I am confident they will end up with NHS contracts I don’t think that will come before a raise is needed.

There is still potential here, it’s just not going to come in time to stop a raise (unless costs are cut).

Likewise Bobat. Im invested and want this to do well. But I am disappointed with the update, for the reasons I gave.

CIQ has not progressed nearly as far as I’d hoped. No signed deals, just more talk.

Evolve is still in the foundational stage. Building out the proposition.

GDM has seen an uptick in revenue, but that’s compared to perhaps the worst quarter from last year.

No wonder Halley delayed in giving it
