Vatic are so interesting as a partner, not least because of their growth. Annual accounts to December 2020 declared an average employee headcount of 3 for the period yet they now have 18 employees on LinkedIn and are continuing to recruit (4 open vacancies).

You would surely think such expansion is driven by more than just a hope of sales, and their only product is the one we are making for them. Add in the real prospects for AffiDx and, well, the current SP seems very low to me.

If this trial progressed, which you’d have to think it did given the numerous references to it by Vatic in subsequent months, then surely it must have concluded or at least be close to? But yes, if Vatic got HUA and FDA approval then we would take off, particularly if ABDX had managed to move on its strategy of creating a US based manufacturing facility.

A USP of the Vatic test is it’s ease of use. That, along with price, will I think be the determining factor for travellers when buying. While some may, I suspect most travellers won’t care or even look at whether a test is the best for sensitivity on the market - they’ll just check if it’s on the govt approved list.

Vatic has quadrupled its work force this year, is backed by the same seed finders that backed deliveroo, has a solid balance sheet, and is regularly followed on LinkedIn by the supply chain manager for the DHSC owned company that procures supply for the NHS. There no doubt in my mind that Vatic, like other companies, will have been talking to the govt and I’d be amazed if Knownow wasn’t on the approved list. Remember as well that Vatic started conducting usability studies many months ago and before both ODX and AVCT (I think).

If I remember correctly, the transition from PCR to LFT was originally delayed by Scapps because the companies which had been offering PCR needed time to switch manufacturing capacity to LFT. In other words, there weren’t enough LFT to match demand. I think that situation is continuing, which can only be good for ABDX.

For those interested, this revised Air Quality Report was appended to the Albury planning application last week, possibly in response to consultation comments. In short, the Air Quality Effects were determined to be "not significant".

Any idea when when we are hoping to hear about a govt backed Geothermal Development Incentive? The best thing I’ve been able to track down is this response to a Parliamentary questions in July, indicating Incentives might be included in the 2022-25 £270m Heat Development Fund?

For info, the govt published an open letter last week seeking feedback from any intrested party with a viw to understanding what new generating tech might be around the corner to help improve UK plc security of supply. I liked this bit... "In response to our consultation last year (October 2020), stakeholders identified tidal and geothermal as 2 new technologies which are not currently listed as a Generating Technology Class (GTC) in the Capacity Market and which may be able to contribute to security of supply in Great Britain in the future, although are not ready to do so right now. As a result, we raised the need for de-rating factors for tidal and geothermal technologies with the Electricity System Operator (ESO). They agreed to feed this into their prioritisation exercise for future development projects. Just as confused as you are Jamesy! I notice from the other Board that a poster claims to have contacted IGAS re the lack of TRI on the 10m transaction, and been told that they will be updating the significant shareholder info on their site "shortly". How true that is I have no idea.

The agreement with Vatic would certainly merit an RNS. The lack of one suggests to me that the agreement to manufacture for Vatic was tied in with the agreement to manufacture for Biosure, announced a while ago.

Have been researching this and noticed that Andy Carroll stepped down as the Chair of High Peak in August, following which HP completed an oversubscribed placement last month. From what I can see he’s a very highly regarded chap and it feels great that he’s continuing with MSMN. That, plus the anticipated news flow on a number of fronts all feels very positive to me. Will be adding tomorrow.
