Love the optimism HD2U, but I think you might be stretching a little there given their reference to the Covid test

It does strike me as being pretty late in the day to be doing analytical studies, particularly if launch is expected in December, and I wonder if it has anything to do with the new CTDA regulations….?

I see Vatic put out a request yesterday to any Category 3 lab able to help them with analytical studies for their test.

Sounds to me like they have a way to go before launch, and for me it’s not too encouraging to see them resorting to LinkedIn like this for professional help.

Some thoughts on pros and cons..

Pros

-LFT market. Covid testing will be here for a while, and general use of LFT tech has gained attention.
- low free float (currently). Good news sends it soaring.
- potential with Biosure Ab, AffiDx, Vatic plus other work streams (PCRD, animal testing etc).
- Expanded manufacturing capacity and automation
- well regarded experts in LFT space
- recruiting for permanent manufacturing and lab staff, suggesting positive longer term outlook
- starting to see some govts allowing proof of Ab response for Covid certificates
- AffiDx HUA submission made a while ago to EU notified body, and talk in other forums that approval expected in 45-60 days and that large orders are in the offing.

Cons

-Cash position/placement risk
-DHSC non payment, and nothing likely till mid 2022
-No apparent take up of ABC19 (yet), and no conversion of “Tier 1” European govt opportunities that we’ve had dangled in front of us all year.
-Ab tests de-prioritised by FDA for EUA assessment
-lock ins end in mid December
- no real Covid related sales info
-AffiDx not currently approved in the U.K. pending govt review.
- Vatic not yet launched

Just my thoughts, and would welcome others views..

Also noting for info that our Matt Vincent, VP for Business Dev and Innovation Strategy, joined the AVCT therapeutic division from Arisaph in 2017.

Not listened to it myself, but Bubblingup on the AVCT board has quoted Bell as saying..

Sir John Bell said "We've identified between 25 to 30 of brands of these tests {LFTs) which work really well... yeah all Chinese made (laughing)... there's one very good UK supplier , who's just completing MHRA approval for self test use; that will be very useful, but we're also on-shoring some of these so that the manufacturing is gonna occur in the UK, and when that happens we're really going to have security of supply."

No problem - I thought the detail about what the ECDC considers to be an Independent Study in pages 5 and 6 was worth reading…

This technical update from the ECDC, published at the end of October, is interesting reading and relevant (I think) to any test looking to Europe as a market.

I’ve called Cubed many times and they are working in partnership with Abingdon. Indeed, one of their Directors moved across to become the HR Director for ABDX.

I am 100% certain that these are ABDX vacancies.

All good points at HD2U - nice to feel that on this BB we can share opinions constructively

@HD2U - I completely get the recruitment argument. I’ve been making it all year and in truth it’s the primary reason I remain invested. We must be making something, and surely you only do that if you have good prospects of selling it.

But absent any reassuring current info, the cash position must be a concern, as is the DHSC situation, the lack of Ab test take up, and the fact that a primary requirement for passing the U.K. Ag desktop review is that a test targets the N protein - the only two Ag tests we know for certain we’re involved with don’t do that.

I do note there has been speculation we’re involved with the Mediport test (N protein), which passed PD ( we’re listed as a Mediport partner on their site). That has never been confirmed and I see that the GLP are looking into how Mediport got that PD validation.

I am still hopeful here, but the risk for me is increasing.

Just my thoughts - I’m certainly no investing guru and everyone will have their own opinion!
