I can understand some share holders the enthusiasm for Centamin to develop its West African assets, however what appears very tempting on coloured presentation slides and in reports, just to good too miss may come at price that is far too high to pay in many respects!
It is pretty obvious that the majority of these alleged gold reserves are located in countries where the governments are incapable or unwilling to establish even the very basic fundamentals of law and order in place of the state of anarchy that prevails!.
Indeed the murdering of the senior management of foreign companies trying run legitimate operations cannot be taken lightly by any responsible company or its share holders,as such at present any commercial reason to develop operations in these countries must fall far short of the Centamin criteria.
Also since the dire state of the Sukari operation have become painfully apparent brought about in the main by the professional failings of Andrew Pardey and the appointment of a totally unfit for post and professionally inept general mine manager then surely the priority must be for Martin Horgan concentrate on getting Sukari Centamin's only gold producing mine out of limp mode and back up to full and sustainable production.
With the recent changes in Egyptian mining law what previously seemed good business sense to try and establish other mines in other West African countries seems no longer valid, so does in not make business sense just concentrate on Egyptian operations and future opportunities for now, possibly even for the long term and sell off most of these other West African assets.
It's easy for analyst to throw their toys out the pram because Centamin is being cautious. but how many of them would like to risk being murdered in some dusty West African state, gold is certainly not worth that price!

Postponement of Basel 4 until 2028!
Nothing like kicking the can down the road and Covid -19 has provided the ideal excuse!

The implementation date of Basel IV regulation is postponed with one year till January 2023 and will phase until 2028 due to the COVID –19 outbreak.
With the longer implementation period, banks are allocating their limited resources to other regulations with the priority, such as BCBS 239 (deadline in January 2016), IFRS 9 (implemented in January 1, 2018) and Definition of Default (DoD) (come into action on January 1, 2021). Although these regulations do not seem to have a direct impact on capital requirements under Pillar 1, they do have a non-negligible common impact with Basel IV regulatory framework. Banks should not underestimate the importance of considering the common impact when adapting to the new regulation, as the efforts and costs of implementing each regulation are considerable.
Impact of COVID 19
The outbreak of the COVID –19 pandemic and the subsequent global lockdown put the banking system, particularly its capital positions, under severe pressure. Repayments of loans are Loans need to or will be written-off. The market movements are also hurting safety buffers. But because of the regulatory capital buffers banks remain resilient so far. With the pressure on capital there comes a huge demand for ad hoc regulatory and management reporting. Besides COVID there was already impact from huge backlogs in DoD, BCBS 239 and Modelling.
In order to allow banks to concentrate their resources on mitigating the effects of COVID –19 and maintaining financial stability, the Basel Committee on Banking Supervision (BCBS) has announced that the implementation of Basel IV will be postponed for one year to 1 January 2023 [1].

Thank you for you thoughts on BF and very Interesting to hear of your past mining experiences, nothing can compare with experience gained from actual "Coalface" or "Shop floor", some analysts are sadly lacking in actual on the job experience, something Kees Dekker has a great deal of in comparison.
You will need to excuse my lack of knowledge on this matter, but I refer to your comments "keep artisanal miners away. Everything would need protection from break-ins."
I understand that these "Artisanal miners" have to work in very dangerous conditions with mo concern for personal safety, or health and safety compliance, let alone environmental responsibility. some are even virtually slaves under the control of local mafia!
So would it not be possible ,certainly preferable to work with the BF government to help bring some proper regulation and control to this mining sector, rather than just turning a blind eye to or accepting the illegal mining by instead providing proper jobs to these artisanal miners and utilising their gained mining aptitude and local knowledge?
Obviously proper security for the site is still going to be essential anyway as in all responsibly run mining operations in any country.

Helps put things into perspective, we have nothing to worry about comparison becuase Centamin's share price will recover, unfortunately this man lost his life just for trying to save the tree's that will now never help to preserve our planets future!

Glad you are looking after the Blackbirds, although the Magpie's in many ways remind of those that manipulate the markets!
Don't take this the wrong way, but when you think about it all these charts and trading programs/predictions are based around artificially suppressed prices and manipulated markets of the past.
How can a gold chart be relied upon as being accurate when it isn't really an indication of the true or fair value of gold ,but an indication of the exchange some physical bullion and the majority being of paper gold contacts traded in the past?
Just like paper dollars the supply of paper contracts its seems s is limitless,where as in comparison the supply of gold bullion is limited by its physical availability!
I wonder how many shoppers would be content if their 2.5kg bag of potatoes was made up of 1kg real potatoes and 1.5kg paper potatoes, or when they shop on line if instead of receiving a 4kg chicken 2 kg was real chicken and the other 2kg was a paper contract, this difference of course wouldn't be reflected in the charts of potato or chicken sales !

Don't get to disillusioned, difficult at times I know , but don't forget one can be whomever they desire to be on here and indeed claim great trading prowess and the success of getting in and out at just the right time!
But hindsight is a great thing, in reality if some were as successful as they claim to be then wouldn't they have been sailing off into the sunset by now, rather than attempting to portray themselves as market guru's on here?
In the end all the chart's and algorithmic trading programmers are as dependable as a chocolate teapot, in fact the best use for the charts would be stuffed down the trousers of some poor old down and out sleeping rough in the doorways of the City, at least that would keep somebody warm!
For those of us that are genuine admit that we have been taken for granted in the past by a lazy complacent manegment team nice and comfy in their Jersey board room and that our trousers were taken down by the past deceptions and professional ineptness of Andrew Pardey and the former Egyptian policeman that due to family nepotism and rather than professional aptitude was appointed general manager of Sukari!
Market experts aside, it is apparent to anyone who is honest enough to admit it that the market's indeed the worlds financials systems now so corrupt and blatantly manipulated to such an extents that that they no longer abide by any regulation, or indeed conform to any what may be cliamed as logical movement or behavior, they are simply and openly manipulated which ever way the Cartel wants them to go!
We are powerless and certainly now any right or wrong decision we might make is down to the sheer luck of the spin of the corrupt casinos wheel or the throw of the weighted dice!

Strange isn't it how attitudes to debt have changed over the years, most likely I’m not the only member on here to have been brought up in the belief it was sensible and right to divest one's self of the yoke of debt, mortgage, HP payments as soon as possible, and to pay off any credit cards debt before any interest was accruing , so as to use the cards to your own advantage rather than paying exorbitant interest rates to the charlatans that own the credit card companies.
I just can't understand how credit card companies can be getting away with charging 19%-37% interest rates and on some reward cards even an annual fee o £25-£45 to their clients when the credit card companies are borrowing our money at 0.5% or less!
Credit card companies are no better than loan sharks, they should be jailed in my opinion, not tolerated, making a reasonable profit is to be expected, however what they practice is legalised extortion and exploitation!
Once upon a time the ambition was to gain freedom of any hold that those that you owed money to held over you, a way to gain your true freedom, to be able to say I am not in debt to anyone!
But now the attitude to ongoing debt is quite different, so many people’s ambition is to be able to proudly flash an ever higher Experian credit rating around on their overpriced and on credit Smartphone!
They fail to see anything wrong with acquiring ever more debt just as long as they keep moving up the overpriced housing ladder by changing from one mortgage to another and by surrounding themselves ever more of the latest tech stuff or poorly made overpriced stuff that they desire rather than actually need!
To keep the car industry going governments encourage the gullible masses to scrap perfectly good cars with years of wear left in them in exchange for poorly built newer models with built in obsolescence by means of what they fail to see are overpriced personal lease or rental schemes at the end of which they own nothing!
The ambition was to be debt free in case there were unexpected interest rate rises, now it seems that is no longer a concern for today’s indebted masses, as they feel secure in belief that governments are unable to raise interest rates for fear of bringing about a financial crisis and their own political downfall!

The majority of precious metals held by the London Precious Metals Clearing Limited, which was created by the LBMA and operates the clearing and settlement for precious metals transactions, is unallocated metal.

What is apparent is the overriding sheer arrogance of the LMBA and just how ridiculous but never the less unnecessary to the world is their whole racket , albeit nice little earner for the LBMA!
Why is it so important to anyone but the LBMA that they should be exclusively clearing trades of (paper) precious metals trades to create liquidity of paper in cash, especially when the paper cash can be just printed as and when by the central banks anyway!
There is no need for the LBMA to exist other than to than to trade for their own benefit of making huge profits!
If its OK to have paper gold backed by nothing, then what the difference in bank notes backed by nothing?
Just close down the LBMA!

Thanks to the hard work and resolve of our team to find an effective resolution, this new European entity has already been approved by Contis as an interim solution.
We have been able to minimize the delay and we are now aiming for the program launch in mid-July, however, this exact date will still be subject to several third-party processes. The timing separation between this significant release and that of the yield engine, will also accommodate a more manageable launch to our live environment.
CSV & Tax Reporting
We have recently released the ability to export your transaction statements in a CSV (comma-separated values) format, allowing Kinesis users to easily download their trade data, through the Accounts tab or from the Kinesis Exchange interface itself.
As we understand that keeping accurate tax records is an important part of successful investing, we have included integration into third-party services on our roadmap which will streamline and simplify your record keeping.
Partner Integrations
We have integrated and continue to integrate with a number of partners across various industries including crypto, foreign exchange, banking and payments and financial services, demonstrating how Kinesis technology can be applied in the real world and at a national level. These partnerships will be publicly launched when both parties deem most appropriate.
Whitelabel Application development
Our Whitelabel application development is in a very good state with our design systems in place set to deliver a Whitelabel model to partners over the course of 2021-2022. Whitelabel application development is not a public-facing release, rather a partner-facing release. Kinesis aims to deliver gold savings, trading and banking services to a wide array of partners; several contracts are already in place for these services in various regions.
We would also like to highlight that due to the inherent third-party nature of commercial partnerships, launches are handled in collaboration, meaning that even when projects are fully completed internally, they cannot necessarily be released immediately. These partner releases will be announced when it’s deemed viable in due course.
Recruitment & Restructuring
We have been dedicating significant time and resources in restructuring and building out our team to handle significant future scaling in the Kinesis operation. This has included heavy recruitment across our Customer Support, Account Executive, Marketing and Technology functions. The Kinesis team has increased in size significantly this year in line with the exponential growth we have been experiencing, with noteworthy additions across most departments. Kinesis Roadmap Update.
With the great anticipation heading into the end of quarter releases, we wanted to provide a quick update to our community, in addition to the scheduled communication of the upcoming quarterly update.
Yield Engine & Minter’s Yield
The yield engine dashboard will be released by the end of this month, followed by a week-long period allowing for any remaining wallet address linking. Once this is completed on 7th July, the first Minter's yield will be paid to all eligible minters for all retroactive minting between April 2019 and the 30th of June 2021.
From July 1st onwards, Kinesis users will be able to receive and track their Minter’s yield payments, paid monthly in gold and silver, through the Kinesis Money platform. The all-new yields tab will allow system participants to keep track of their yield payments to-date, yield eligibility, as well as monitor total KAU and KAG in circulation and total yield fee pool amassed across the entire Kinesis system.
We have been rigorously preparing for this release, which has been subject to a significant amount of quality assurance and testing. It’s important to note that while this release is yet another small step forward in Kinesis completing the foundational core pillars of our system, it is a quantum leap forward for the Kinesis vision.
After the initial launch of the yield engine, subsequent yields will be brought online and rolled out throughout the year, with the Holder’s yield the first to follow. We look forward to bringing you further announcements on this monumental milestone for the Kinesis Monetary System, and the precious metals industry as a whole.
New Kinesis Money Website
The new Kinesis website has been developed over the course of 3 months and will be released according to the roadmap at the end of this month. The top-to-bottom website redesign and restructuring, positions our brand tailored towards our core target segments and enables a far greater assimilation of the Kinesis Monetary System.
Although tremendous effort has gone into the new aesthetic and feel, extensive research and development into the UX (user experience) flow has also been incorporated into all design considerations in order to provide a seamless and engaging user experience.
Kinesis UK and EU Physical Card Program
All major development components of this project have now been successfully completed and primed for implementation, with a notable emphasis on the significant achievement of PCI-DSS level 2 compliance now awarded to Kinesis.
However, due to a delayed regulatory process largely resulting from the COVID-19 pandemic and related government shutdowns and restrictions, this card program will not initially be operated from Kinesis in Liechtenstein, with the new EEA entity established to launch this program in partnership with Contis.
