Quite so, the pound is buggered now down to 80p agaist the euro , the UK has had it under this presentgovweernment, this is one of the main reasons the LBMA is working with the LBMA to try and avoid the effects of Basel 3!
Just taking to someone on the train this evening and they were saying that people are really turning to physical now, although it's proving difficult to get , refiners are on long lead times and if buyers want delivery the LBMA is offereing increased premium's to price if buyers will take paper instead of actual delivery.
They reckon that the LBMA and BOE will be in trouble next year as Europe will be where the gold/PM trading will be taking place under Basel 3 regulatains.

Hackers have stolen some $600m (£433m) in what appears to be one the largest cryptocurrency heists ever!
Blockchain site Poly Network said hackers had exploited a vulnerability in its system and taken thousands of digital tokens such as Ether.
In a letter posted on Twitter, it urged the thieves to "establish communication and return the hacked assets".
In scale, the hack is on par with huge recent breaches at exchanges such as Coincheck and Mt Gox.
In its letter Poly Network said: "The amount of money you have hacked is one of the biggest in defi [decentralised finance] history.
"Law enforcement in any country will regard this as a major economic crime and you will be pursued.
"The money you stole are [sic] from tens of thousands of crypto community members, hence the people."

Poly Network said a preliminary investigation found a hacker exploited a "vulnerability between contract calls".
It urged various exchanges to block deposits of the coins, after millions of dollars in tokens were transferred to separate cryptocurrency wallets.
About $267m of Ether currency has been taken, $252m of Binance coins and roughly $85 million in USDC tokens.

We were discussing the above at the local and one of the chaps said he had cashed in all his Bitcoin because he had heard a rumour that a well organised international cyber gang have found some way to get control of peoples Bitcoin wallets/accounts and then make them pay a fee to get their wallets released.
I really don't know where he heard the rumour or even if its feasible for a criminal organisation to steal a persons crypto wallet of Bitcoin's?

Oh nothing to do with Centamin or political agendas ,but its about not forgetting the really important things in life, and the need to care about all the other less fortunate creatures we share the planet with, who desire simple things like a drink of water, some decent food, a clean place to sleep, some fresh air and a little kindness before they are killed..
I don't know how long you have been a Centamin share holder, or how long you have been a member of this forum , but its a long time tradition that we discuss all manner of things at week ends or during quiet and difficult time's.
Diverting ones mind onto something else can often help avoiding making hasty decisions that are later regretted.
Don't worry about Mark, he hasn't contributed anything apart from sarcasm for all the time he has been a member, but it matters not a jot as long as it keeps him amused.

The long overdue, previously promised, yet still outstanding West African Asserts information that you have repeatedly requested is essential, as without the answers to your questions there is no point whatsoever in trying to calculate the future performance, or indeed share puce of Centamin!
You perseverance has paved the way and made it easier for other share holders to support you by now contacting Centamin Investor Relations, if they really care about the future value of their investment in Centamin that is!
Those that can't be bothered really have no cause to complain in the future !

After Brexit buyer beware some UK farmers care little about animal welfare , ignore the codes they promise to abide by so some of the the UK produced farm produce in our shops isn't always all it claims to be!

Following a tip-off from a member of the public, Hillside's Farm Animal Investigators recently visited a Norfolk Pig Farm. The undercover footage shows pigs being kept in an appalling state. There was no straw for the legally requiring dry lying area, leaving the pigs to exist on piles of their own excrement. Additionally, water drinkers were often blocked or empty, leaving the poor pigs seriously neglected.
The farm supplies pigs to Suffolk based company 'C&K Meats', who boast of their 'Passion for provenance and quality' and have been awarded many accreditations including Red Tractor, RSPCA Assured and BRC Grade A.
C&K Meats produced their own promotional video where they say how important animal welfare is to them. Perhaps they should visit some of the farms that supply them with pigs!

What does DEFRA or FSA do about such appalling disregard for animal welfare and food hygiene, usually very little as far as I can tell considering how many times situations like this have been exposed over the years!

You are absolutely right in everything you say about the manipulation of the precious metals prices and all part of the special relationship between the FED and the UK LBMA that the general public are ignorant of!
It is obvious now that Brexit was seen by Farage, Jacob Rees Mogg, Boris and other senior Tory party members as possible means of the UK City, LBMA avoiding compliance with Basel 3 along with the rest of Europe in order to keep the money making Comex scam going!
Rebess has a good point, they won't give up this manipulation any time soon, the City are already finding new ways of working to get around the Basel 3 requirements with our government and the BOE as complicit parters

You aren't wrong about Martin Horgan , he is a completely different CEO to Pardey in just about every way, certainly no can kicker!
Cowichan's find on the trucks was particularly interesting, especially as the new load bodies they are being fitted Fitted with are 20% lighter,stronger, longer lasting and have greater load carrying capacity , but if I understand things correctly using them will result in less wear on tyres and increased fuel efficiency!
Even better these new bodies don't have to be imported, but are being produced in Egypt so ARE easily available and also providing new jobs and contributing the local economy.

Battle was finally joined this last week in the ongoing rivalry between duelling billionaires Richard Branson and Jeff Bezos to see which of them can have the more dementedly expensive and ostentatious midlife crisis. Oh, and they went into space as well.
The general consensus appeared to be that Jeff Bezos won on points; not only was his flight a good 69,000 feet higher than Mr Branson’s (both billionaires, it should be pointed out, merely blasted themselves straight up into the stratosphere then straight back down again rather than going into orbit or doing any proper astronaut type stuff like that) but he truly explored the Embarrassing Divorced Dad potential of the journey by going up in a spaceship that was, quite literally, dick-shaped.
One supposes that a degree of phallic-ness is inevitable where space rockets are concerned, but if you’ve seen pictures of Mr. Bezos’s Blue Origin craft, you will know that there were design elements present which definitely looked more like a conscious expression of virility than anything to do with aerodynamics.!
What a complete pair of "Knob's" these blokes are when you consider how much tax they have both avoided to literally blow it on this waste of resources!
They could have saved a rain forest, irrigated parts of Africa, provided healthcare and education for millions of the worlds poor, but no they would rather blow it on trying to be the billionaire that got that little bit higher than the other one!
