Problem is that so many of the farms are actully owned by big conglomerates with accountants in charges , james Dyson, yes that stinker who supported Brexit and is producing his overpriced products in India, he owns lot's of farms in the UK now!

Gordon Brown has admitted he made a "big mistake" over the handling of financial regulation in the run-up to the banking crisis of 2008.

His surprise announcement - coming only four days after Labour's landslide election win - is being described as the most radical shake-up in the bank's 300-year history.
Mr Brown has also announced a loan rate rise of a quarter-point to 6.25%. The increase was decided after Mr Brown's first and last meeting with the Governor of the Bank of England, Eddie George.

It is possible, though unlikely, that the price of gold will crash at some stage in the future. So having a high proportion of assets in gold – quite aside from the loss of interest or dividends – makes no sense either. In strategic terms Gordon Brown’s decision was easy to defend. Although I don't have access to any privileged information, last week I was in contact with someone who is well informed on Centamin and they seemed very confident the already mentioned dividend is safe, also Martin Horgan regards maintaining a healthy divided as a very important factor of the company forward strategy.
The Sukari clean up is being closely managed and proceeding at a better then expected pace, it seems the site clean up has been beneficial in more ways than originally anticipated and the new team are taking advantage to gain a much better understanding than they had previously of the geological structure of Sukari, it is hoped that this should prove very beneficial in enabling safer and more efficient future open pit and underground production!
Possibly this why Martin Horgan seems optimistic about things moving forward and exited about giving the Q3 production update?
So I won't be worrying about this years dividend , or any takeover unless the interested suitor started the wooing at about £4 for now!

My points exactly about the market pricing things in becauase it is looking forward, from our experience of Eygpt the market would need to be looking forward at least a decade to price anything in and then it would only be guessing!
Barrick wont be producing anything other than promises of what it might be iproducing n Eygpt for at least 5 years and by that time who knows some renogade may launch a legal challenge in the courts, that could take a decade or two, this Barrick deal is pie in the sky at the present!
Bristow will no doubt hype it though up and pay himself a bonus!
Eygpt is a great place for politicians to talk and for the judicery to procrastinate, any investor needs to consider these facts very carefully!

Hi Duster, no disrespect intended I fail to see how it can be priced in because as yet its really only the signing ceremony that has been publicised , the negotiations now are now ongoing regarding the final terms,and if they can't be agreed on then there won't be any development, or mining taking place .
Also at this stage no one knows anything for certain about the allocated areas, AISC, grades, etc,etc, apart from some blokes posing with a pen which means very little as long termers here realise , nothing has changed, despite what is announced in the Egyptian media nothing is certain until it actually happens, and from past experience that can take a very long time, so with with that in mind even the slickest broker or analyst would be talking out their rear end if they claimed to be able to price anything in anything apart from what we already have at present, simply because the quantity, quality and indeed timescales of production and when and if it ever starts are all unknowns.
