Is 14p minimum value?26 Jul 2020 07:37
Thanks to all contributors. I'm fairly new to GGP but having a lot of fun and this is an excellent BB. I've doubled my money so far so no complaints from me. Like a few other here... seriously thinking about adding a few more.
Not wanting to take a 'glass half empty' view but I've had a few recent shares SXX, HUR and ECO that have all looked really good and then crumbled on bad news. You couldn't make some of it up really.
I suppose with that in mind I'm become a more wary investor. GGP is on a roll, so the temptation is to add more... but that's the same situation I found myself in for the other 3 companies I've mentioned! It looks to me that what we have here is going to struggle to become worth less than the current 14p market value, but what do others think? In other words, what could de-rail the SP going north from 14p. Trying to think myself really.... is it possible the drill results stop turning up great news and the SP drops on sentiment (i.e. bad reaction to 'less amazing' news), is it possible the MRE doesn't turn up a colossal valuation (the results to date have been amazing), could COVID put a stop to drilling in Oz, is it likely the value of gold will plummet in the next 6 months, is a decision taken by Newcrest not to actively mine our find and finally does GGP somehow run out of money.
I'm scratching my head to see how the above happen... but could they and am I missing any other nightmare scenarios that could happen? It's a funny one... but SXX, HUR and particularly ECO have taught me that just when you think you have the golden goose, they are often a lot rarer than you think! Good weekend to all. Come on LCFC, give my locked down City some cheer and annoy all the United supporters out there!
