My take on the wait…
I don’t see the most recent X updates as negative at all. Frustrating, yes, because everyone wants the numbers now, but the wording still looks reassuring to me.
They’ve said the Sagebrush extended test is progressing well, remains on track, and that they’re encouraged by progress. They’re also still posting from site, showing kit in place and the Leadville testing programme moving forward.
To me, that doesn’t look like a company hiding a problem. It looks like they’re getting on with the extended test and waiting until they’ve got the full data set ready before putting numbers out.
The key point is this was never really about whether helium is there. Sagebrush has already been described as a proven helium discovery with historic 2.76% helium. What matters now is flow, concentration and whether it stacks up commercially.
They’ve raised £5m, they’re funded for the next phase, the test is active, and the wider Sagebrush / Coyote Wash portfolio is stated at 1.104 Bcf gross 2U helium.
So yes, the wait is annoying. But I’d much rather they take the extra time and release proper numbers than rush out a vague half-update just to calm people down.
Still speculative, obviously, but my view hasn’t changed. If Sagebrush flows commercially, I still don’t think the current valuation comes close to reflecting the upside.
