DEC enters the FTSE top daily losers again. Relentless low volume daily short attack vs sporadic DEC buyback. Easy win for the shorters, knowing that in a few days time DEC will buyback all the borrowed shares and they can start again. Each time dragging us down to all time lows. It would be better to either completely stop the buyback or do a high amount daily. DEC has to stop feeding the shorters or kill them off!
Rusty said a US listing would bring some great benefits. To elevate the investor pool and get better broker analysis. Looks like it was an expensive venture that has brought no benefit.
DEC has been at the top of the FTSE 250 losers almost daily for the past few months. DEC has issued 2 'it's got nothing to do with me' statements. I personally would have expected a bit more of a fight if they truly believe that there is nothing to hide and the company is as good as it was to get from a small AIM, top AIM, main market and into the FTSE 250 so quickly. Why aren't they banging on the doors of large investors and telling them to get on board at such a low SP point? Convincing them that the dividend will remain in place at almost 30% for the foreseeable future. Maybe Rusty and his top management gang have lost interest and ambitions for the company. Is it time for a new leader? Afterall if my local footy team was losing almost every game, after winning & drawing almost everyone before with the same team, the manager would have to go!
Don't forget gas up or down. DEC down. Highest consistant dividend, DEC down. Any conspiracy theory, DEC down.
Let's face it, the stock market is just legalised robbery of small investors. The big boys can minupulate it in whichever way they want. If shorting was banned, we may have some hope of some honest gains.
Nice to see buybacks yesterday. These have to continue daily to kill off the short attack.
DEC says that they don't know why the SP has and continues to crash. Makes you wonder how they have no clue and they are running the company. However, GreyGoerge knows exactly why it's collapsing. GG, can you ring Rusty and explain 🤣
I've bought back into ITV today. The Post Office program showed that there is a massive appetite for quality programs. ITV now has a standard to follow and an audience desperate for more of the same. As a bonus, the streamers will be finding other things to watch on ITVX. The audience numbers will attract advertisers. I think there is a good optimistic short/mid term SP gain. Long term depends on ITV investment at this stage.
GG, solar & wind will not generate more cash in the short term. It's all about keeping the impression of a green transition. A photo of field of solar as you land on the DEC website would do wonders for them/us.
Once again DEC sits near the top of FTSE 250 highest daily SP decrease. It's a sad pattern to be stuck in. So predictable that anyone with a pile of cash can make a lot more. DEC are actually helping by sporadic buybacks that help push the SP to a point that it can be attacked again. If they can't borrow to make substantial buybacks, maybe they should reduce the dividend and use that to do more. At this low level, I'd also expect to see large director buys. Also, use some of their land to create solar & wind farms. Get on the green bandwagon. It's quite apparent that business 'as usual' is not an option if they want to see a SP increase.
The SP taking another battering. I really don't understand why a company that makes a lot of cash and pays a large % back to shareholders can suffer such a low SP. Meanwhile the post office owner IDS share price is up almost 20% in a year. A year that it reports a big loss, stops it's dividend and still faces the biggest scandal in the UK. Just shows that SP is often just a manipulated number without much justification.
