Being very closely linked with agriculture and livestock, I think the claims of global percentage acreage to support livestock are fantasy, but I do very much agree that we shouldnt be cutting down the rain forest to produce beef. In the UK we could produce many multiples of the beef quantities we do now if the financial landscape was more favourable. In fact in the UK our agriculture is misguided and not much more than ticking over. We are using more acreage to grow maize to produce bio-ethanol than we use to grow potatoes ! And the bio-ethanol in petrol makes cars less efficient and use more fuel !

I can tolerate people being Vegans but what I have an issue with is they force their kids to be vegans !

Look at the facts, takes and AIM CEO salary for years in BCN and then does a rather suspicious deal with the Chinese where we could never figure out what his seemingly extreme motivation was. He is now taking a director salary and expenses here and possibly elsewhere and may be looking to 'introduce' a suitor for ZNWD when a SP plus 50% deal would seem very attractive !

Agree with this. This tends to be a rather iliquid share so traders (who we dont normally like) tend to avoid !

In AIM the most fantastic of news doesnt always produce an explosion, especially as this is such a backwater share and also the market in in a slump too. In KDNC we waited over 2 years for news of a deal which theoretically made the share worth many multiples of its current price and all we got was a wimper and now a further slide. This should be twice what it is now but it will take a major investment by an II or a very well structured marketing campaign to get the rusty wheels moving I think..

There are a helluva a lot of fairly good EV's on the market now eating Tesla's lunch, personally I dontsee Tesla's as being that attractive now...

Im still smarting from what happened in BCN - Ok a much much larger Li resource than this, but the Chinese had just enough of a holding to instigate a takeover bid, but the board mysteriously took their first and low ball offer (despite howlings and direct actions by dozens of other shareholders) so the moral of THAT story was there was something very fishy about why the BoD were so keen to push such a rubbish deal forward - possible collusion ????

Trouble is the Chinese like to control resources not just buy them so many small cheap resources become a takeover target and it takes a very good and non-corrupt BoD to get the right deal....

I dont think the sale is a bad thing. As I stated below what VF needs is to be showing a strong strategy of debt paydown, especially now with cash getting more expensive...

I am underwater too after selling a small block back in 2017 at a nice profit. I then bought back in partly to generate income and partly because I THOUGHT I could see value. But what seems to dog this share is the mountain of debt it seems. I dont think about it too much now as it sits in SIPP Drawdown account and pays out divis. But I think it is a shame that a once great and valuable company has been so mis-managed. I think the rot started when they expensively bought C&W for little benefit that I could say and I am an ex telecoms industry professional...

The thing is with shares like this, the screw ups and non-events have gone on so long the market starts to look to the old 'proof of the pudding' theory ie until they do something concrete and very good they will not be taken seriously. To my mind something like the serious sale of Ta might do it, but even the finance didnt do much because it is just more cash to burn as far as the market are concerned. And one thing I have learned from AIM junior miners is no matter how much people bang on about resources or NAV, until you ship or get an offtake agreement nobody much listens.

This is a P&D traders share and I'm just glad I traded a block at just over 5p back in June - so the moral of the post is dont complain about people complaining and then explain exactly why !!!
