Great opportunity still for some to get out with a small profit. Some will have bought at 1.05p in the last few months. May as well take a profit then buy back in after any placing?

" Consumption will get back to pre-virus levels by late July, while output from major producers is likely to remain ‘highly inelastic’ to the rising prices, the bank said"
Steve - just because it is highly dilutive does not make it unlikely. And it's not a bad thing if what is bought is good value. If the placing is popular then they may not have to give too much of a discount. I've seen it as low as a few percent.
Unlikely it will all be funded with debt IMHO. Banks like to see a bit of risk taken up by shareholders. If you don't have any cash then the only way is through new shares being issued.
Fair enough Steve - in my experience shareholders normally have to chip in but we will see what happens! Would be great if they can avoid it as chances are it would decimate the SP.
AA - we are able to share our experience and opinions here AA las time I checked??
In my experience it will be debt plus equity (possibly including an open offer) - similar to the last deal. Last time it was a little more than 50% equity to debt.
I won't speak for Mather, but my concern would be that this is a pumping exercise to get a placing away at a higher SP. I think they might get it through at 0.8p to 1p.
