As far as I know the technology does not exist to take 40-50MW across a rotating swivel. If the solution is an FPSO for Bentley /Bressay then importing power is not currently feasible. Same goes for Kraken FPSO.

If bressay Bentley is fixed platform then power from shore or floating wind is easy, and is being looked at seriously by most operators for their existing platforms.

Any stand alone development will need to be power from shore or perhaps hydrogen if it is a floater.

To my knowledge there is no current technology available for transmitting a large amount of power through a swivel.

Maybe floating wind to hydrogen /ammonia, then hydrogen engine for power.

At the moment no buyer is forthcoming. The zubairs have their claws in and have the power to pick up another 25% for free if SCIR can’t meet the cash calls. Same goes for any other minnow listed company that might otherwise be foolish enough to invest in Tanzania. It’s a poison pill.

Steve - at the moment it is costing SCIR money with no clear plan to profit. The company can put whatever value they like on it but it all comes down to what a buyer will pay.

The longer this goes on the worse deal SCIR will get IMHO as they become a distressed seller. I imagine it would suit zubairs to wait if they are the only interested party.

The buyers are just not out there for this asset it seems. The BODs have been trying to flog this for years now.

Worthless to SCIR IMHO- it’s a liability unless they can fund it through development.

All the Zubairs have to do is spend us out and pick up our share of the “asset” when we can’t meet the cash calls.

You may think it’s worth $100 million, or whatever it is this week, but unless there is a willing buyer it is worth nothing.

Unfortunately nothing has moved on in that regard since I sold up at (from memory 1.05p). Luckily I moved my capital and small profit from SCIR into ENQ and PMG.

The BOD are wafflers. At the moment they have a Fantasy portfolio. Ruvuma is effectively worthless. Greenan is the only real investment and we only own half of that despite putting up most of the cash. Further, the asset is far to small for a listed company to bother with. Quite frankly it’s embarrassing.

Not sure many holders would agree that a substantial rally has taken place. The SP is scraping along the bottom of the toilet bowl IMHO. Someone ought to hit flush IMHO, but these micro caps seem to manage to dilute away value consistently. No shortage of new inexperienced investors to suck in I suppose.
