I noticed this morning that ENQ now has a 20% deposit factor for the first 3k per point. Then 30% up to 16k

It used to be 25% up to 8.75k per point, then from memory 40%.

Not sure if they are just fiddling with the numbers for commercial / marketing purposes, or if they have reassessed the risk profile.

Robs - agreed Perth gets less likely every day IMHO. At some point CNOOC will call if a day at Scott. They really need Perth fluids coming in now to keep costs down. High prices might keep it going a few years longer.

For me Scott is the only game in town. ESG pressure is going to make a new project with say an FPSO extremely difficult.should be able to get a tie back away without too much fuss though.

For me, swallow the pride, take what’s on offer and move onto the next project.

Actually, I think the royalty only relates to old wells on those licences that were drilled when NAM sold their interest. Any newer wells would not pay the royalty.

The allusion in the RNS is that PMG are more aligned, which indicates that they may have pushed back against spending more on those wells in the past. E.g. work overs.

I personally would not get too excited about this. The big win is that revenue has doubled from those wells. And the transaction has probably already paid for itself.

It seems like a good deal. Just not the one we really want!!

Sorry Chilts but you are wrong. Look at any higher risk company in the sector. Much more useful.

Big companies like BP have a lot more inertia. What matters is the long term price of oil.

What we see with mid caps like ENQ is volatility. The short term price of oil is much more important.

Production miss by 1kbbl/day is inconsequential compared to oil price risk.

Here you go pal. As you can see there is little correlation. Essentially It is about macro risk.

To suggest that 10p has been knocked off the SP due to 1kbbls per day guidance miss is just silly
