At risk of boring my self sensless I still believe that a merger with MGM retaining quotes for the merged entity on both sides of the pond would produce the best outcome for us , over the medium term.
Why would our Board agree to a mainly paper bid at £25 by a company worth less than us,when we account for the current valuation disparity between the US & UK.We merge with MGM & become a true market leader

The ending of the travel ban to the US could result in increased testing for SBI as a negative test is required within 3 days of travel & I suspect there will be a substantial number of Brits heading to the US this Autumn/Winter

The good lord buying is a positive sign to me as he will know the structure of the deal & its potential

Glad to have bought back my WMH stake early last week & I suspect the strength of Ent is improving sentiment here

I hope today’s strength doesn’t herald another bid as I want us to remain independent for the duration & would prefer a merger with MGM ,to create the number 1 global operator ,& retain our quote both here & in the US .A straight merger ,in my opinion would see an immediate rerating towards US valuation parameters

If we are only raising £500mil by issuing shares,the balance of the cost covered by easily serviceable loan capital & with the expectation of a 50% increase in our EPS ,then our SP is currently too low,which is probably why a non exec increased his holding substantially today at around the closing price.I missed the bell by 5 seconds this afternoon but in the absence of any early movement on Monday morning I will be increasing my holding by buying back my WMH stake

I have built a decent position here (for me) & falls into high risk v high reward category until we can demonstrate success (& prospective success) in US (& elsewhere).I am not expecting too much from the forthcoming results,as it is still very early days, but let's hope our CEO remains optimistic about our prospects for the rest of the year & ,short term,our SP may run up ahead of Results with some speculative buying

Many shares more than 10 bag every year ,although realistically they tend to 10 bag from a starting point of fairly low market caps .If the evidence ,i.e. Contract wins & projected revenues increase exponentially our SP could 10 bag + from here ,as long as PM & SEE can manage the growth which is clearly coming.Presumably PM will provide Cenkos with a FY 22 forecast once our Finals are published,by end Oct,& then,perhaps,they will upgrade our projected SP substantially,which would help

So Ceasars acquired the 50% of the US business for $900mill-an absolute bargain,confirning that those of us who were William Hill shareholders were sold out short !

Entirely take your point in terms of cmc suddenly being uber cautious based on the assumption of Markets retaining their Aug stupor for the rest of the year,which seems most unlikely.I suggested a reporting ,not accounting,error-i.e. Interpretation of figures & projections.If today's RNS has been interpreted too cautiously the sector should swiftly recover ,although some damage is likely to the credibility of cmc & The Lord C will be furious.

I suspect that a major internal reporting error occured at CMCX,whose prvious update was end July.Ours was 2 weeks ago & positive outcome expected for the year & our US acquisitions will be interesting to see if we can build a decent presence there,using out tech & marketing skills.
I last bought in mid 1300s & will do so there again should we fall that far as a reaction to CMCX

"Something" has caused our SP to recover the recent lost ground & it maybe more to do with who is quietly buying rather than expectations of exceptional early news-which we know is very unlikely.I agree that 30 experiences salespeople , used to operating in this space,will need to make their targets to make their bonuses/commissions-so will be motivated to achieve & if they cant due to customer resistance they are likely to move on rapidly-as good salespeople do.
Interims due later this month will include an outlook statement & our new CEO has already demonstrated that he will say it as it is -so lets hope he retains his longer term optimism ,the perception of which would be substantially improved if he were to buy a decent number of shares with his own cash,of which he presumably has a fair amount,with view to his very successful career so far.

Fall is more to do with profits warning by CMCx

A bid must be a given with view to consolidation in the sector & 888 would make a tasty morsel to Ent & Flutter & could help Ent retain its independence by creating more value, particularly as overheads would be substantially reduced once acquired

Well I bought for around 8p & didn't sell at the recent peak,which would have been a very decent short term return on my capital employed -making me an eejit too.

32 mill bought in 3 notified transactions last week so perhaps we will hear next week that Griffiths (or someone else) has exceeded a disclosure threshold .

Should we achieve A$600 Mill we should also bear in mind that our margins will be about 90%,resulting in substantial net profits from this income stream only &bg then our other 2 existing income streams should be contributing decent profits to our bottom line & that is without the possibility of 4th & 5th (as yet unknown )income streams.
Should the expected occur in the next 2/3 years ,according to those in the know ,rather than ourselves ,surely a SP of 100p + is not as far fetched as some would have us believe
Let’s hope we stay independent god long enough to find out ,unless an exceptional offer is made previously

Reality is that we have 3 viable strings to our bow (& maybe more ) yet their valuation is not much lower than ours .I/we expect our valuation to increase as the reality of our very positive potential becomes increasingly obvious & theirs less so .Very glad to be invested in SEE
