My view is that Sir Mick is a hot name in my view, who currently is hunting for battery minerals mining companies (Evraz has 15% of the worlds Vanadium) and that could be attractive for him.

You may say any western businessman would stay away from anything Russian, in this case Evraz is then guilty of the accusations made by the British government though we have no proof yet; a case of shoot first and ask questions later. I think as the matters clear regarding Evraz Sir Mick would accept being a NED, and not be another sheep who buys into the witch hunt stories created by opportunistic politicians and a media whose news stories are not worth the paper their are written on.

And about the 500p, I mean, you certainly know zippo about Sir Mick Davis. Nevermind, there is always google search.

My fellow shareholders, I would like to propose Sir Mick Davis for chairman or at least a director's position.

For those who don't know him he is a former South African businessman, former Chief Executive and Treasurer of the Conservative Party and the chief executive of Xstrata plc, an Anglo-Swiss multinational mining company, until its merger with Glencore in 2013. 

Just by appointing him we would ad 500p to our share value, immediately. I am think of writing an email to our company, and I think it would be valuable if other shareholders did the same, suggesting his name to our CEO.

Good news indeed. They should have all resigned just like POLY directors. We could invite Sir Mick Davi onboard..I wish..and some of his mates. He likes vanadium and already have FAR under his belt.

Unfortunately, I have become such pessimist with age. I can only see the demise of the human race in time to come. You only need to watch TV for 5 minutes flicking through the channels to realise we are doomed, despite some noble souls who may cross our path on this earth.

Very good arguments and I would add that Evraz must have contracts to fulfil on possible hedges for some time to come. I doubt that buyers make orders last minute when it comes down to big mining companies. Moreover, I would imagine that the don't even need to sell to China at discounted price, why? Since sanctions are imposed on so many Russian/Belarus companies the price of minerals will be much higher by then. It will be quite interesting to see how many governments will try to deal with sky high inflationary pressures.

We are all facing a massive recession ahead and the longest this was and sanctions last, the worst it will be for everyone.

Another exemple is potash, used in fertilisers. Belarus is one of the biggest producers and if we continue on the same road, we may have a food shortage.

I will be short in my reply as I believe I should focus on the share and not politics behind this war.

I am not justifying Russia''s foreign policy, but understand them not wanting Nato's missile's in their backyard, just as the Americans would hate themail same in Cuba. Any country bordering Russia should know that.

As per the Russian people, that's for them to resolve. I suppose we don't want to force by gun an illegal regime change as the coalition of the willi'get did in Iraq that eventually opened the Pandora''s box in the middle east, which we all know how that ended.

French companies hesitant to halt business with Russia

Some 1,200 French companies are active in Russia, according to the Franco-Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, while French companies have 160,000 employees there.

It is such a PR by the west to those who buy what the media says. Netflix can afford to stop screening films in Russia as they can restart at any point in time. Visa and Mastercard will be losing their home clients forever. Will the German government make their people pay for higher gas, like the UK government is? Absolutely no!

Hopsta, absolutely. I watch French, European, British and Amercan news channels and the vitriol is all the same. And since they banned RT one has little info from the Russia side to balance a little things.

I find it funny when commentators on TV as well as politicians appear on TV telling we all need to make sacrifices in ref. the price WE pay for the embargo, whilst they are on 150k plus salaries! Tell that to workers, the elderly and the less fortunate who have to decide between food or keeping warm.

As far as I am concerned Zelensky was a TV clown in his previous job (a fact) and should have stayed there. His lack of foresight by accepting overtures from America to join Nato shows he was played by the Americans who now turn their back on him when he asks for military intervention from them. They only get an American embargo which doesn't hurt the American economy and helps justify the return of Venezuelan oil at a discounted price which in turn helps the American economy. What a muppet.

This war is a horrible thing and should be stopped asap, but my point is that I don't trust Zelensky either. He expects the west to risk a nuclear confrontation with Russia so he can save his government.
Putin is crazy enough to oblige that.
