Arnold, for me any drop here is an opportunity to buy more. I still got about 30k waiting on the sidelines if I get a good price. Accumulation for medium to long term of course. :0)

Inflationary pressures in the coming months are no surprise to be honest and anyone thinking otherwise is gullibly hoping for the best and the team at ASOS are not unaware of this, I am sure. They have however set a plan in motion for the medium to long term and the share price should follow it. The expansionary global vision of ASOS is propelling the share price and the market can see this. Europe and the USA are an attractive market for the quality goods ASOS offers and to buy the shares under 30 is to have the same vision in mind. Many are just short sighted as the majority can only see the immediate things floating in front of their eyes, lacking the peripheral vision necessary for a medium to long term investment. I see ASOS way past the 60 mark in the medium term and my pension and my wife's are heavy on this massive company. Day trading isn't in my plans and I am happy to hold.
I prefer to stick with Warren Buffett's strategy on this one, instead of being bearish Arnold.

Shorting at 30? With the supply chain issues becoming yesterday news and eventually being normalised I can see this going only one way, and that's against any short. Those guys must be shirting their pants as we speak. Any further positive news and they will get burnt worse than they are already.

Got 10k order filled at 29.05, Lost 1% due to AJ Bell crap. Anyway, confident we should be around 40 in due time. Happy to buy under 30 anyway and thinking medium to long term. The focus is online sales for the future and that is definitely people will shop now and in the future so it is a no brainer.

T24, sure. Or you just buy something good ridiculously cheap and do a Warren Buffett thing and wait for the goose to lay the golden eggs. Less stress than day trade. History shows 80% of day trades lose money every day. Good luck to those 20% though. :0)

It is so easy to spot the traders here and those who sold and are missing the climb. Volume are supporting the rise and folk are investing for the turn upwards. I know I did. .buy a good share at a great price and see it mature.

Thanks Dimi for breaking down the numbers. We cannot escape the power of online business and that's the future, unfortunately. Expanding to Europe and USA is going to take ASOS to the stratosphere and the share price will follow.

Buying ASOS at this price and thinking long term is the way..a good quality stock.

Looking at SuperDry one would wonder what ASOS is doing being still such a bargain? It would appear that SDRY director buying over £800K of his own money in SDRY seems to appear this "shipping" issue ain't as bad for the next future as folk are painting it. It is a huge vote of trust in the retail industry if you ask me. When ASOS power back up we will be laughing. I say, listen to Warren Buffett's and buy a quality stock at a good price and be patient. ASOS is bigger now than they were 2 years ago yet we are trading at 2014, 2015, 2020 bottom prices. Bargain in my books.

T&T, it is sad but inevitable that boiler room muppets, paid by text, dwell these forums. I trust savvy investors know better and will purge these obvious posters. One thing is to place an intelligent critical views on the negative aspects we may face, the other is to vomit garbage with poorly constructed intellectual argument.

TT, anyone ignoring the potential for PRE and the need for western controlled neodymium resources, not to mention the present and future needs of the EV and Wind power is risking missing the boat here. I definitely missed the 70p price a while back and regretted not jumping in at 100p, but today I moved 80% of my portfolio to Pensana at 104p. Staying long term now and happy with the drop.

Seriously? And you think ASOS is expensive now? More than half of the price of little while ago, with acquisitions in the bag and online sales growth, not to mention Christmas approaching and talks of confinement ahead. I am definitely not surprised with those big buys. What was it the Buffett said? Better buy a great company at a good price than a poor company at a great price.

Not everyone who buys ASOS is a trader. This price was a gift.

deepjoy, hello. actually I think it is a good thing to repost SCB post as there are new shareholders joining the board to read posts here and SouthCB is a good summary. I prefer to see that than the continuos derampers bla bla and bla. Not that people should invest based on what they read here.
