Listen to our latest Investing Matters Podcast episode 'Uncovering opportunities with investment trusts' with The AIC's Richard Stone here.
Every small miner hopes to be taken over so that the return can be had sooner rather than having to wait.
Share price takes another step back as is often the case when a big holder wants out. Could be an opportunity could fall further but overall a dip to buy in the long run.
I think using technicals are pointless because the sellers are getting out on IPO and Naguib Kheraj is picking these up on his own without drawing any media attention to PHLL allowing the discount that now stands over 30% to stay under the radar. Strong buy if you are happy to see a loss for an unknown period of time... however the reward very high for low levels of risk.

I have been accumulating sub 270p as the discount is attractive and the name Goldman Sachs who manage this is a bit special. Still a large seller since IPO as I suppose was the plan to always exit. This is a unique trust containing a mix of assets that should provide smoother returns over many cycles other than crash where it will suffer from the same IT structure issues. Lots of private equity property, credit all the way to tech. The discount narrowing is what I am looking forward to and will exit when narrowed however long that takes. Also hold HVPE, PIN etc...
How long does production need to keep up at current oil prices to pay off bond holders? I

I've been buying on this dip but there is no point posting here until we get news because as the lack of buying will drive you all nuts.
We need the story tellers to come but the media will be reluctantent at such a small market cap. The dividend should compensate for the waiting. It's a very long way to a main market listing from here.
No harm going short or waiting for a re-entry knowing the potential. The reason the share price is drifting down is that a major milestone has been hit and investors are taking massive profits and so waiting for them to be all out before going back in is prudent. |
Personally, I am long and at a loss and waiting for all the sellers to exit before I add any more... this always takes much longer than we like. Please carry on selling so we can speed this up.
Corrected message: I've added here a couple of days before the variant drop showing a loss. I presume there is no longer a need to do a share buyback as Saba and shareholders who hold on until the end would bag the cash at the end of the period. If they do then trusts like CGT (Capital Gearing Trust) could see the value and start increasing their stake in CRS. CGT would have voted for the liquidation of holdings I am sure

Results on Monday. Will this include an NAV updated?
Large seller being given a significantly lower share price to get out than us.
The £150.88k trade appears to have a buyer so the bottom is near. Further fall may be needed but I'll be waiting for confirmation the seller (s) are out. The mining market was strong today and TGR is relatively attractive at these prices.
There is nothing new in the posts above. Many IPO stocks are being hammered. Big profit taking going on. Will average down when trend starts going the other way.
I added fourth batch but we hold back 6 more buys until we find a floor. There are too many sellers and any buyer can afford to wait. TGR is too new And low volume for chart analysis so it's just a waiting game. The market cap is very attractive for the potential.
I wonder if it is linked to help provide an exit for pre IPO holders.
Second point is tech focused America and not mining focused Canada makes me think the graphine wires could be the future?
An excellent read. Thank you for sharing.
I've decided to pledge a percentage to UNICEF every time I accumulate. Every little helps.
