Andy - just curious
1. Is this your only investment?
2. What are your hobbies?
3. Who is your favourite comedian?
No harm intended just trying to put a picture together with of mystic sujood.

Okehurst - I think if they were actually shorting avacta they might have written something more substantial and noteworthy - seems like a fairly half hearted attempt at best? If you are trying to short you would want to create fear amongst PIs who are shareholders. I imagine that the pool of unresearched shareholders is dwindling by the day… the only thing in their favour is the numbers of investors pulling out of the market - so funds like Miton will be forced to sell Avct… in fact compared to the market avct has faired pretty well. Now if you were thinking of taking a gamble on the market with your stack of cash are you going to throw it in the main market (unlikely to recover for a year plus) or perhaps something like avacta with more imminent news potentially triggering a rerate. Now not many will have researched little old avacta to death like many here… BUT I do think the shorters game is looking decidedly higher risk by the day… if they are covered by other trades / longs etc maybe they are happy to take the risk and wait for readout / fundraise or maybe they are just really unresearched and it is really that simple. It just seems to me they picked a really bad spot to short… the downside is fairly limited and the upside could be quite painful for them… why not wait until it peaked again pre read out? Have we made a guess as to what their short avg is?
I have to say that sometimes I think Mr R is a bit too colourful in his descriptions but not without humour (hilarious at times and yes also crosses the line fairly often too). However Mr R your reply to this thread is 100% spot on. It is like watching a cat trying to climb a glass window… every time they attempt to climb they take a running jump and then slide slowly down with everyone watching from the other side

I’m pretty sure that biopsy data is just part of the data that would show if it is activating or not, but certainly not the be all and end all. Even if no data was known to him I would imagine that his patients still being alive would give the principle investigator a clue as to whether it was working or not… I’m honestly not going split hairs on this BB on whether biopsy data will be in the read out.
Timmy I think you will find there is a w at the end of Yeeeehaaaaw

I agree Retire - I'm delighted with the cash position, much better than anticipated.
Head lower, maybe, maybe not. Maybe short term all the shorters pile in, and then 4-6weeks from now first read out is available and bam deal comes in and shorters get burnt. The great thing is the down side is limited for LTH as all things point to a much lower risk than before... (though shorters refuse to see that) but the upside is a huge risk to shorters and you just don't know when that might come... GLA
There is no way I would expect frequent news from Avacta. These are trials, they take time. There is a lot of data to analysis and next phases to plan, not to mention all the documentation and submissions. If they briefed the market every fortnight, what could they say? Another dosing for a single cohort? Would there be rants of Avacta must be trying to pump it for a fund raise? They can't win, so they just proceed with the trial systematically and scienficially. There has been a fair bit of articles published that this board and others have found and shared. If you can't be bothered to read it - then fine. But perhaps expect the flack for posting here with only LFT arguments if you haven't bothered to read it.
It takes time to bring a quality product to Market. Had the government been supportive of the UK Diagnostics Industry I am certain it would have been excellent. However, instead, Bethell and other Boris chums backed the Chinese who for some reason were able to product test and ramp up production almost out of nowhere.... was it 4 month into the pandemic? And somehow someone chaps in California made your profits. Whilst I'm not critical of AS, I'm not sure laying the lack of success of an opportunistic sudden product development was entirely his fault... I would say that gave it damn good go, but perhaps in hindsight they placed too much weight on perfection and could have been quicker and more reactive to mutations. However, having placed that criticism, the therapeutics side has not had the same issues (gov, mutations etc) and I do believe here that the science will prevail without threat of government mis-intervention or the Chinese ramping up a pro-drug and flooding the market. My two pence worth. DYOR GLA
Touk : " Let’s just wait (and hope) and see what comes to pass and by all means highlight new information, but all this regurgitating previous info and analysing it to death does my head in. "
Why turn up here then? Does he realise this a public board and NOT a closed board with just a few members who have seen this all before. Or perhaps he thinks he is the only investor reading this.... odd or....
Yes - British sense of humour ! Long live the wit!
Thumbs up.
or even the rain?
For all keyboards ( whether it be USB or tablets or smart phones) to detect useless keystrokes and disable devices. Also working on a new therapy tentatively called a ‘chill pill’ that is a new improved form of MJ that renders the recipient unable to look or post on LSE for 24 hours minimum I’m going to be the first to take one now … see ya!
I remember that Timster... wasn't that what got him kicked off LSE and then he turned up again under another name... I think someone saved that little nugget and whacked him with it... not hard to catch him out. LOL
lol… I guess the mole is trying to creep out of his hole and keeps getting whacked.
Lol… the guy who tattoos avacta logo on his leg… what a *** ! Where were these morons before twitter and the internet???
The market makers have a period of time to balance their books. My understanding is they can sell what they don’t even have … it may be they have excess to sell themselves. They are just in the business of making a profit so if volume is low the sell buy spread is tight from what I have seen. I’ve often seen buy / sells on the wrong side of the mid point… so I think really the spread is more of an indicator and the direction it is moving in … but when demand is high enough this share moves very quickly (both directions). I’m confused … I was told that BEGO is on the bid now … I just can’t keep up.
