PAD004, I had terrible problems with the 'creditor'/'debtor' issue when I learned accounting at college :-) but trust me, the real nightmare began when we reached "Depreciation of fixed and none-fixed assets" lol :-)

Cardinal, in my mind it's a mix between Christmas, LSE being closed. No traders would like their monies being invested, just in case something happens that is beyond their control. Traders being a different 'breed' in comparison to investors that makes sense. I always notice SP's going down on a Friday afternoon, because the weekend. Just imagine your money is invested in a mine far away in say...Africa or South America and suddenly a revolution or natural disaster takes place and you couldn't sell until Monday morning our time. The fact that no decisions are concrete doesn't really help and then there is the New Strand, that caused no country letting us off our precious island :-)

PAD004, Creditors means "Person or company to whom money is owed" That's usually a financial institution, such as a bank, not a person who lend money of Amigo. They'd be Debtors, if I'm not mistaken.

Oh and one more important thing: I checked on the directors and the last buys by them were on 27th November and 2nd December. I don't think these people would bet on a dead horse.

Iknownuffin, I guess you're right. If I compare what you said to the 'only' 1490k I hold of PAF and they're in blue with £89 :-)

I was reading the post and started thinking, but don't worry, my thinking is not necessarily dangerous ;-) . So what if... the SP could be down to Christmas? Just like on Fridays the SP's seem to go down, because lots of traders don't want their monies invested over the weekends, just in case something happens that they can't control. In the case of Amigo, this would make even more sense. Unless a decision is made and reasonably positive news are coming out, I can imagine, that a lot of people don't want to risk their funds being stuck and especially not over the hols. Where I'm concerned, I currently only hold 3k and I'm holding them. Fingers crossed the New Year brings plenty of good news.

Stimulus package = government spending. WOW :-) How many more? At the end of the day, the governments are spending our money to keep going what is in danger of failing, because their decisions brought it in danger of failing and you're looking forward to that. PAD004, I really did think you're more intelligent than looking forward to this 'cunning plan' :-)

Clintek, it's not amazing at all. All my other ones are performing. Yet you chat in all others and I'm not asking what you did wrong in all others ;-) and that it not only about this platform here ;) Does that answer your question, or do I raise more questions about your own decisions, for which you are asking on other platforms about for answers about ? ;-)

How it went for me, I can tell you, Clintek. All of my investments (bar Amigo) are up between 20% and 85% ;-)

Clintek, in case it has passed your attention. Since Brexit, the EU is on a slide. Investing into EU companies is like turning on a penny. One goes up, one goes down. It's communism at it's best. Not even Nicolas Berggruen, who promised to rescue Karstadt and BHS has kept the promise, as he knows what he's doing ;) And with all respect, Clintek, I do have an ethical approach, but don't ask me why I am anywhere. It's free countries or not? At least for now we are ;)

Clintek, I tend not to invest into any company that is within the EU. For me they're all too old, too stringent, too rotten to the core, too heavily steered into the EU's socialist iceberg. I don't invest into Tesla either, for to me it's reminiscent of helping a child to indulge into futuristic toys. It's a tough one. I mainly invest into rare earths. The kind needed for the new technologies and I try to make sure, that they're being mined with ethic.

Long Term? In these days? My friend, the world of today is changing faster than ever. And after your 'on the other hand'...you're using Covid as an excuse again. What you call 'The Market', is the same that has been volatile since 1929, since the towers, since Thatcher agreed to a test-flight of the DM against Pound Sterling in 1992, which resulted in the Pound Sterling nearly getting crashed by the intervention of no other but Mr Soros and as a result the British Economy never having reached its original value again (the event is today called 'Black Wednesday) and may I remind you of the banking crisis's? If you see anything 'solid' in that and complain of the volatility because of Covid, you really need to calm down. This covid 'crisis' made the market less volatile than anything that happened before. The real shock with numerous ripple effects will happen, when the governments call off the duty to proclaim bankruptcy. The day THAT happens is the day you'll know what 'volatile market' really means.

Clintex, such disasters as covid are obstacles that require cruising around and being dealt with/lived with, they are never an excuse. I'd also these days would never talk about a 'solid investment', in fact, I don't think I ever said that. Investments are what they are, call it Faith or Entrustment, but they're hardly a foundation to build ones house upon. Hence they're never 'solid'.

I'll be topping up just before Crimbo, that'll spread my average and means any rise will benefit. But that's my decision, you need to make your own.

Tarrant I only first saw in the second half of the 80s, when I first saw him on BFBS and after marrying into the British Army in '87. I missed out on a lot on British TV, but I can tell you that my favourite programs back then used to be The Clangers, Danger Mouse, any news and political debate shows. I could understand that English. Put me in front of Eastenders or Corrie back then; and I was completely lost :-). My English was a lot more limited than it is now.

Iknownuffin, I'm on this orb since winter '64 in the 70s the only thing you have missed was the rise of glam rock, Star Trek ABBA, the View Master and the clacker :-) and if anyone tells you tales about: "Every Christmas was a White Christmas :-) " then say to them: "Oh, do stop fibbing, will you" :-)

If in the 90s somebody would have to me: "In the coming 20s you'll be investing into rare earths and renewable energies" I would've replied: "Don't be so ridiculous, you fool!" :-) But then again... if somebody had said to me in the late 70s, that the day will soon come that people carry individual phone boxes inside their pockets, I'd have said the same :-)

Iknownuffin, I think with OXB anything below 10K (monetary) is not even worth thinking about to invest. Will take me a couple years to get to that level lol :-) and even then it would be risking somebody calling off the cov issue. Until then I think it's best to lay in ambush for Cornish Lithium ;) . On this note, I'm off to get a couple of lagers from the shop and then wrap my head around some more investment ideas. This 'job' is work intensive, these days. What great times the 90s were, when all one needed to do was to invest into telecommunication and real estate shares and then just sit and watch them go up :-)
