Cobus Loots, CEO of Pan African Resources, on delivering sector-leading returns for shareholders. Watch the video here.
Scb,
I'm long on Lloyd's. Substantial investment. There will be a few bumps in the road on the way to 60p+. You are one the posters worth taking seriously. Hope we can be friends.
And yes I'm defending RW. He gets a lot of stick.
I won't qualify for the withheld dividend. But I am right behind you. It was declared. And the money, your money, is still there and not been needed. It's your entitlement. Don't underestimate the power of the small shareholder. Small shareholders have stopped fat cat pay before now. Speaking up, loudly if required, for what should be in your pockets soon, does not just have to be a token or hopeful request. Go for it.
Went all in at 38p. Glad I did, it was raining gold, but finger was above the sell button at all times. Now 48p. Happy with that. Had hoped to get to 60p before selling any. However America looks very risky now, Potentially got a long way to fall. Think it's time to offload 20% into cash and buy into any dips.
Lloyds still a solid long term investment in my view, but suspect a couple of bumpy months may be upon us soon.
I agree. Risk is about how much you are aware of potential gains but also potential losses, and you're attitude to both. If this share goes to 19p this week I can handle that.
I am fully aware of the upside and the downside in being all in. Doesn't make me a dumb dude.
We all know the positives at present ie vaccination going well, cases dropping, return of the dividend, etc.etc.etc.
I believe that one of the most important things currently is positive sentiment. Up to the point that the economy fully opens up I anticipate that this will continue.
I do believe that at some point sentiment will change to be more realistic/negative ie when furlough ends, companies have to pay back debt that they can't service etc. I am also aware of a big bubble across the pond which is being artificially supported at present. I think we may have a Summer of upside in this share which will then slow down or reverse. If I've got that wrong, then big deal.
The key point at which I will be looking to move back to cash is likely to be August September. Until then hopefully all will be well.
Good luck to everyone.
Well done isitwothit. Diversification is the way ordinarily. However, strange times and many opportunities at present. Sometimes you really just have to go for it. I've done the same as you, all in Lloyds, at 38p. 60p house paid off and job done.
