My position is not that we as PI's matter in the big picture and I'm quite sure that is not what I wrote either. However, I cannot see anyone invested in GGP (large or small, II or PI, emotionally attached or not) accepting 2.5p with the results we have had so far. That is just ridiculous whichever way you look at it.
In the event of someone amassing such a substantial shareholding, enough to enforce what you outline, which is essentially a hostile takeover, there first has to be massive buying pressure. Moreover, GGP is not just some diggers hobby in some marginal jurisdiction. GGP has already bagged a JV with a gold major, at very good terms I might add, in a major and safe jurisdiction so it will not be just taken out for peanuts. They know what they are doing and they know they are desired. GGP is also not a one trick pony.

It won't happen.

Kingsley, two comments to your review:
1. VAST is not holding PI's cash. It is well and truly spent on their salaries and follies.
2. Force the BOD to respond. Yes, great idea. In the past this has been done and all that happened was AP coming out with the same waffle and spin speak that has dragged this company down for the years he has been in control.

Unfortunately, as before, this company will not change unless at the very least AP releases his stranglehold on VAST for someone actually capable and competent to deliver the most obvious, a working and cash positive project which in VAST case would mean BP. However, with the track record here I doubt this will happen anytime soon. We will much sooner see a new placing as per going VAST practise.

If this is just GGP and they have price sensitive information then they have to release it, good or bad. Unless it is not complete yet OR they are in discussions with buyers. At least that is my take on it.

As I can't see them not being ready, it must mean that their focus is elsewhere. Maybe the initial results were that good that NC have let them know they want it and are discussing a deal.

Sure, this is speculation but if all else fails, logic prevails.
Anyway, we are going to have to sit it out. Nothing we can do about it.

Wouldn't it be nice to see a 224% rise here just on the note that you can sell you assets in exchange for your debt being cancelled and 2.5 mln (and they are still not be allowed to trade on ASX due to financial issues). Of course this in the light of dropping from 25 to 2 first ;-)..
Brave people buying into that.

But much better than buying into a JV with a Gold major that has doubled their drilling efforts on the JV plot.

I'm just always careful with using someone's reasoning as fact hence the question.
It seemed a fair conclusion when PG wrote it and it seems fair now. However, it remains a reasoning then. Just wanted to make sure.

And that Dodge is what we have been saying for close to a year now but none of us has been able to make any debt in the position of AP.
It is clear that he owns VAST and will not let go.
So he either strikes lucky regardless of his lack of strategic leadership OR he will linger decisionless and drive this into the ground as he has his stake of BP anyway.
Time will tell.

All that remains is PIs confidence in the share. Today again the buys outstrip the sells and we are 0.06 down already so that drop does not seem trade driven and hence happens for another reason, whatever that is..

Not going to pretend to understand the SP action. Only look at what I can research and learn from the actual feedback from the plots and resulting actions (i.e. doubling the amount of rigs after initial assay results). That drives my confidence to hold on to GGP and maybe accumulate. Whatever happens in the mean time is just that, in the mean time.

My firm believe is that the SP is down here because we are not hearing anything. In the light of the last year that makes people nervous, regardless of whether they believe in the company or not.

Once the news starts flowing (rig selected, rig booked, spud date, new SNPC payments, etc) we will see lift off. Until that moment (and mind you this is august so no one is keen to land any good news as it's may fall on deaf ears) we will be idle, bit up and bit down.

If this sheikh has any brains he will wait for a little bit more and then buy back in. It's his name on the company anyway. Bought in at 4, sold at 10. Rinse and repeat. It's like an ATM and a good sheikh does not pass an opportunity to make a couple of bucks.

Well Cym, please correct me if I'm wrong but if I recall well the SP has to be above 0.1 in order to do a placing doesn't it? So, as some on here have already been indicating, we may be seeing a placing attempt soon as the finance is still not delivered and the meter keeps ticking. They need money. Surprise, surprise. The MM must be very willing to facilitate that as it will trigger a lot of trading and that is where they make money. Cynical maybe but it stinks.

I remain of the view that unless AP moves over for someone competent to step in to get this company operational pronto, forget about all the nonsense rainbow chasing and focus on what we already have a permit for that can save the company, nothing will ever change and we will end up where that Q&A question was going in January 2019...
No news is in this case really not a good sign.
Be prepared.
